Last 10 on Letterboxd. My foray into IQIYI has been pretty disappointing so far. Revisiting Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi after finishing the series was a ton of fun. The Lost Boys remains a favourite of mine. RRR more like WTF. The Merry Gentlemen surprised me, what can I say?

Same. Whenever I watch foreign movies I always want to know what the home audience or critics think. I'm always wondering stuff like "Is this movie even liked over there or is it only popular over here?" and I would also love to see home opinions on really daft scenes.

Slitterhead (2024)
Kudo is certainly the best horror protagonist of all time. He is unhinged. He's a thug ghost hunter. He's funny, deplorable, sad, brave, cowardly, sexist and a gentleman. He's brilliant. Ichikawa also gets a lot of time and development and she shines too but it's Kudo's series.
I think anyone who takes the time to watch them all will realise just how great this series is. The character development and escalation and world building is second to none. Just the way each movie introduces new stuff, brings back old stuff and builds on one another is genius.
My friend recommended me the Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi movies and I've had a blast going through all 10 of them this week. It's an incredible horror series and I think it's the best horror series ever created. The first 7 movies took me on a crazy ride.
