When you see LinkedIn job posts that indicate that over 100 people have already clicked apply, is it even worth the trouble to apply yourself?

Has the person or team that hired you ever given you a hard time for doing the job they hired you to do, even if you're doing it 100% correctly and giving them exactly what they want?

Have you ever spent hours gaining knowledge and learning new skills and creating something only to hear others say, "Why did you do that? You could've bought the same thing for $20." Why go on vacation when you can just turn on the TV, right?

Have you ever come up with an idea for a project and your boss approves, saying it's a great idea, only to see them ignore it and not support it after you've spent hours, days, or weeks on it? What next?

Yesterday, I literally pounded the pavement. I used a hammer to crack the 1-2" thick ice on my walkway and in my driveway to create a safe walking path. I think my tires are still frozen to the ground.

I paid a bill online (confirmed legit). I thought it odd that they requested DOB/phone. No fields were shown as being required. I submitted only the minimum info and did not include DOB, phone, and other info. My payment submitted successfully. They are collecting the extra data, perhaps to sell it.
