This GOP candidate seized a half-million ballots and says he may do it again Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is running for California governor as a Republican, tried to review ballots despite election officials reaffirming the results.

The sheriff is basing his investigation “on information he either doesn’t understand or is willfully misrepresenting,” Becker said.

President Trump signed an executive order requiring DHS to create a federal list of U.S. citizens and directing the Postal Service to only send mail ballots to voters on the federal list.

CEIR's @beckerdavidj.bsky.social expects the EO to be blocked by courts.

I've now had a chance to review this purported EO, and it will definitely be blocked in its entirety as soon as the lawyers can get to court. The Framers made sure the President did not have the power to create a national voting list, or dictate to states how they run elections.

I have yet to talk to a single election official, R or D, who actually supports this bill. It would mandate a vast new expensive bureaucracy be put in place in months, and burden every voter in the US. Election policy should come from the states, not Washington, DC.

As the election season begins, I know there are lots of concerns about federal interference, and a sense of darkness about where our democracy is headed. But it's important to remember that elections are a celebration of our democracy, and we should allow ourselves to feel the JOY of VOTING. /1

Interesting that DOJ failed to mention in their press release that they are already 0 for 3 in these cases. These states were wise to protect their citizens’ sensitive info from a fed’l gov’t that has already had to admit they’ve already released this data.
