I really want to like this app and to become active here once again. But it won't happen unless community changes from left wing to neutral. Not even right.

Bluesky is awesome if we're talking about just Bluesky, but not its community. Because the community sucks, but the app is great.

What's your point? Maybe it's a good one, although there are some exceptions, like for Elon, who is actually not one of those who would want people to be divided.

See, people prefer not to blindly go with protests & signs like "Charlie is a b*got" etc, because they look directly at the facts. Facts don't state Charlie as a bigot due to lack of evidence .

So, in order for something to be stated, the claim should be proved first.

And people rn are choosing right, because that is the most sensible choice that can be made.

And I know that it sounds hurtful, but that's the ugly truth.

How Charlie was a hero? He made people think. He didn't say "join only the right" or "join only the left".

He made them think before choosing any choices, instead of doing so blindly.

And before you call me a conservative or right wing or N*zi or racist or homophobic, I am actually none of those, because I am a centrist.

So yes, Charlie was a hero, before a radical leftist assassinated him.

And that happened in August of 2025, and guess what? Charlie, literally on the day before his murder, had made a video about that, joining her parents in grief.

Also, Iryna was literally a Democrat. She stood for what y'all stand. Yet it was people on the right who joined in grief with her parents.

She was stabbed multiple dimes after a long day of work on a bus. By a black dude who was let out 49 times out of jail. (1/3)

It’s hard for me to distinguish between site-wide environment and my own little micro-environment, especially since they merge with alarming frequency. But the level of derangement around me is, like, shockingly high. Somehow much worse since the ICE thing

Believe me, being on Bluesky is one of the most unpleasant experiences ever. I as well wondered multiple times if I should delete my account.

You're actually not alone feeling like this! I used to like this place, still somewhat do, but yup, I am in absolutely same boat as you are!

I daily get blocked here. Even despite the fact that I am mainly inactive here.

And believe me, I have haters on here. People are adding me to lists.

They’re largely blocked (they’ve blocked me)! But it doesn’t matter because we share a social space and many of them have tens of thousands of followers and their absolute derangement is making the social space intolerable

It’s this endless feedback loop of self-radicalization built around some of the most toxic personalities I’ve ever encountered. It would be nice to talk about politics without being in a blizzard of seething hatred and abuse all the time!
