Look, if you want to figure out some way to use crime to bring the rich to heel, I have ideas.

On a weird world. dead aliens climb out of graves to confront the reader, behind them a spaceship is held down by large cables. There are three captions, they read "This Planet..." "It's not a dead world..." "It's a grave yard"...

Person you are talking to immediately wans to make plans that day because they presume your free.
Not, you know, doing basic shit to stay alive Like You JUST SAID YOU WERE BEHIND ON.
A green frog mascot wearing black shades, orange jacket and shorts, and a blue shirt strikes a pose in a used book store.
Jubapyon is a gregarious cool frog who sometimes appears in Takafumido Book Store in Azabu Juban, Tokyo.
Sigourney Weaver in Galaxy Quest, where her job is to speak to the computer

This is why you don’t let billionaires run schools! He gets bored one day and suddenly hundreds of kids don’t have a classroom anymore.
Coyote vs. ACME
This looks like a lotta fun.

They have one job and its Very stupid but dammit they are going to do it.
What’s your favorite platonic male/female relationship in a sitcom?
Aging comedy writer holding an art book from Star Trek: Lower Decks
Oh by the way: it’s real and it’s SPECTACULAR.
In essence, I like people who are curious not judgemental.
A self described amatuer linguist will tediously tell you what you're doing wrong. How it works and shame you about not knowing the difference.
An actual linguist will ask why you say or write something that way, ask where you picked it up and talk through similarities they have seen.
I have friends who are librarians. Lovely folks who are genuinely curious about how to make things better for evebryone and more accessible.
What I'm describing is the difrence betwen a linguist and someone who calls themselves an "amatuer linguist"
People feel super comfortable being rude to dyslexic people.
It comes out when talking about access issues and gets worse when you cite lived experiences.
As if describing something not working is a personal affront.
Capcom proving you can make high quality AAA experiences that aren't stuffed with filler to make them 200 hours long, bogged down with bullshit microtransactions and don't force you to play with racist 13 year olds? And they sell well?
Will the industry learn anything from this?
This is a tenement. Go up to Mountjoy Sq or around Blessington St and look up into the windows of the old georgian houses. Bunk beds everywhere. @dubcitycouncil.bsky.social have let this type of thing go on for years. They better go after this guy for a flagrant breach of the planning permission
This is not an achievement when you consider, like, vehicles and things
the guys running out with a stretcher is the Looney Tunes cherry on top

I am not interested in prison. Throwing a few creeps in prison until the next fascist pardons them does nothing to destroy their power.
I want the financial and political power of these individuals and corporations to be utterly destroyed.
Take literally all of their money.
The ultra rich, massive corporations, and billionaires control our politics because John Roberts freed them to pour unlimited money into campaigns via Citizens United.
Take all their money away and you take away their power.
All of his businesses and property should be nationalized and dissolved and he should be stripped of literally every single asset and dollar. Put him in public housing and let him live off of whatever UBI the next Congress passes.
I like the idea of the library but watch the average person as a dyslexic person explains their lived experience.
Its like watching a fuse getting lit. Just building to an explosion.
Not sure if its something to do with them being better with books than people; but its ugly.
I do think AI is different. Microsoft rebranding its most successful product and embedding AI everywhere. CEOs saying publicly they are rooting out anti-AI sentiment in their companies. Millions of redundancies forecast with unabashed glee. The only people optimistic about AI are the ultra wealthy.
"....a massive homelessness and housing crisis. There have been people suffering just as much as, if not more than, the agricultural contractors, hauliers, farmers and individuals of chequered past who set up shop on O’Connell St and elsewhere last week."
Excellent piece @carlkinsella.bsky.social
J. Michael Straczynski. He's often impressive. B5 was the first big arc plot locked into a sci-fi drama series. The first season was a mix of writers but as it went along it ramped up in tension and conflict and Straczynski wrote more and more of the episodes till it was just him.
For real. I have three books called Spider-Man Volume 1, and every one of them told me I should've read a different book first
No tv is written that dense. People jump on in the middle of stuff all the time. I started watching Babylon5 half way through.
