I understand the desire to join the EU, but our economy is broken. Joining the EU will increase GDP, but GDP is a terrible measure. We need better wealth distribution, fair taxation, better wages, stronger unions, less private equity companies. We need to fix these things first.
Accountability has to mean something. We can't allow PM's to get away with corruption just because there is no-one to replace them. If we want to fix our broken political system, then we need to make sure mp's and pm's face the consequences of their actions.

This is a terrible headline. Reading the story shows she is for clean energy and against foreign owners building industrial solar farms so they can make huge profits which end up offshore.
Sounds to me like she has nailed it.

We need to know what was said. Did Starmer ask if Mandelson passed the vetting? If not, why not. Also, why is it not compulsory to tell the PM if a potential ambassador has failed the vetting?
Starmer can't let another scapegoat take the blame. He needs to resign.
