Do you think cavemen had seasonal allergies or do you think they got natural-selectioned out bc their eyes were all gummy and they got eaten by a saber-toothed tiger
As a matter of principle, you can either have a dinner that celebrates the First Amendment or you can have a dinner that features Donald Trump. You can’t have both because the president holds the freedom of the press in contempt. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
Favorite movie bat?
We don't need to pack the court. We just need an enforceable ethics policy to get rid of 3 or 4 guys
Hahaha all the hotel rooms in this dinky town are sold out for this conference I've already paid to register for and I don't even have a car I can sleep in, now wtf am I supposed to do? 🙃
I have to call to make a hotel reservation for a conference and I can't just do it online with a special code and WHAT AM I A FREAKING PEASANT WHAT YEAR IS THIS
That is a great tip but also horrifying
Bc I can't go outside my own system with student or faculty data
Anyway I will now spend my time hand-coding something that worked the last time I needed to do this particular task. It's fine. I love it when software sucks.
I swear, 2019 was the Last Good Year.
How much does your product and AI suck if the response to "can you do this thing you used to always do" is "no maybe go try our main competitor"

I feel like I am going insane bc I tried to use Microsoft Forms for something I could easily do just 6 mos ago & it couldn't, and when I asked the Copilot assistant thingy if it could fix/convert it, it told me to GO USE GOOGLE FORMS ABOUT IT
Bro your own product telling me to go somewhere else? 💀
I feel terrible after too lol BUT when I need to run to catch a bus or train or crossing light I'm in shape and can do it no sweat... THE BEST
Congrats, I'm just getting back to running outside and I hate it! Way to stick it out 💪
Lazer has been such a pleasant surprise in this role, for an insider pick
I admire the work she did during Covid (she basically created a vaccine network) but she should maybe, uh, stick to doctoring
Also this is YIKES from Stanford and should be disqualifying

VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
That's kind of how I'm mathing it: it's as cheap as it will ever be + I have to spend at least $100 (appliances are oddly expensive in Canada) on a mediocre replacement anyway?
Telling me "the median income is higher than it's ever been" doesn't mean doodly-squat when I'm paying more for rent & groceries than I ever have
My rent is literally twice what it was in 2023!
Thinking about the ongoing discourse about The Vibecession on here and I think the real difference is, have you (or anyone in your household):
1. Rented an apartment/house, and/or
2. Lost a job/needed to look for one
In the last 5 years?
Bc if so, it is TERRIFYING out there.
See I'm about 50-50 on these kinds of purchases so I'm EXTRA MAD when I spend real money and something sucks 😠
I mean, I probably don't, but when has that ever stopped me
Happy birthday! 🎂 🥳
*saves receipt for taxes*
Very few years of my life have been spent being Solidly Middle Class™️ and I feel guilty spending real money on quality items ☹️
The sexy Very Expensive Coffeemaker that I covet is on sale for 20% off right as I am about to receive a tax refund. Should I spend a stupid amount on a coffeemaker considering:
a) my current one is on the fritz & I need a new one anyway
b) I like coffee A LOT & it's an important morning ritual
