German fans also got Monday night matches scrapped iirc. The PL managed to implement a £30 away ticket price so I think a cap on home ticket prices shouldn’t be possible. Failing that, I hope the new independent regulator steps in.

Our individual match tickets are now one of the most expensive in the PL and Merseyside is still one of the most deprived areas. So I think it’s a genuine concern. It’s also a PL problem though - other countries don’t charge such exorbitant prices and a cap on prices across the PL is needed.

Don’t think that’s correct - happened to Atlanta the season before last and the place went to Benfica on their ‘co-efficient’

One silver lining from Iran war: UK choosing EU over US

Starmer now bigging up closer EU defence & economic links in new world (ie Trump) saying next UK/EU summit would not just be stock-taking exercise but UKG would put forward proposals to go further on economy (single market)

New survey finds 91% of fans believe football is better off without VAR * Only 2% thought VAR ‘makes football more enjoyable’ * 81% prefer watching games without video technology Football supporters remain thoroughly unconvinced of the merits of video assistant referees (VAR), with new research suggesting as many as 91% of them believe the game is better off without it. More than eight years after the first trials of VAR in the English game, an annual survey by the Football Supporters’ Association shows widespread dissatisfaction with the system, including the tweaks that have been brought in to improve how it is used. My son has been successful but they’ve allocated him a seat in the family stand and then in the t&c’s it says it’s for family groups only?! 🤷‍♂️

So does that rule only apply to 5th place and not 1-4th? I.e. if Arsenal win it the place doesn’t cascade down?

4 weeks ago 0 0 0 0

Surely if either of them finished 5th they would automatically qualify through league placing so there wouldn’t be an extra place or am I missing something?

Absolutely spot on

I don’t get what the plan is with him? If he’s no chance of playing then they should’ve sent him on loan. Don’t see what the thinking was.

I don’t understand why Reform hasn’t been investigated and charged for racism / antisemitism by the EHRC like Labour was?! Am I missing something here?

I enjoyed Louis Theroux's delve into the Manosphere, but I have the niggling sense that the whole panic around it is a bit of a fantasma.

The prevalence of misogyny among young men is no higher now than in 2015. The worst you can say is it's stopped shrinking.

What am I missing here?

Thought we did very well on the break the first half, second half that threat wansnt there and it allowed them to pile on the attacking players and we eventually buckled. The next step is to maintain that threat throughout the game and we’ll pick up results at places like Arsenal.

Yes the tightness was to be expected with his lack of games and was in both hamstrings, not just the one he had surgery on. Not sure if Moyes is being coy about his chances or the bobble was a bit off on his info…

Tightness in the hamstrings when he came off against Burnley. The Bobble didn’t seem to think he would play against Arsenal or Chelsea, so we will see what happens..

I’d love to see thier workings as I’m not totally convinced of those valuations. Are the teams above us in that list like Palace and Forest really that much higher valued than ours??

Is it reduced capacity at HDS because it’s unreserved?

I get the feeling TFG are hedging their bets at the moment - at some stage they will have to choose to commit fully to a more coherent strategy

Yes there definitely a tension there, as can be seen this season, with Moyes thinking short term and much of the recruitment more long term..

Yes they are other good examples. Not sure there are any in this country - think Aston Villa & Newcastle have possibly gone a little more short term in their ‘models’, hoping CL revenues propel them into the elite rather than building something more sustainable?

1 month ago 0 0 1 0

In the sense of a having a sustainable model that enables them to compete for honours, with a distinct playing style, whilst developing young talent and recycling the proceeds when they move in for big money?
