Please read this excellent essay by @chanda.blacksky.app for more on why Artemis is complicated and why it's important to acknowledge this fact.

Yeah, so this is why many astronomers are less than completely excited about the Artemis missions.
(Which is not to detract from the courage and hard work of everyone who made Artemis II so successful! But we have to understand there are other motives involved than science and inspiration.)
Neutrinos don’t know no spin!
Like undercooked fish
Ok so far one of my favorite media interviews for this book is on a romance book podcast and I can’t wait to share the episode with you all
Neutrinos:
John was unsure how it worked in Maine so I don’t know
I am not at all annoyed that the publisher that owns my imprint put him on instead of any of the scientists who have new books out right now on this topic
I only saw a clip of something on Instagram
Too busy being non-trinary!
It’s a little bit funny how politically fraught neutrinos are in American particle physics because they’re great particles and the experiment cost overruns aren’t their fault. They’re not bad. They’re just drawn that way (nearly invisible).
Introverts!!
Neutrinos aren’t tunneling
they just have very little business with other matter
Atomic nuclei in stellar cores are quantum tunneling when they overcome the coulomb barrier
It’s different!
And literally every single time I call on people to actually understand what is happening in Maine *someone* has a meltdown in my mentions like this
Y’all are not slick
I answered you earnestly and you accused me of sophistry for answering your question, which suggests it was not earnest but actually bullshit
Just watched a video of Andy Weir describing neutrinos and he says they quantum tunnel through pretty much everything and I don’t feel this is an appropriate use of ”quantum tunneling”
Anyway why ask a woman physicist when you can ask a dude novelist
Fun fact: Harvard’s founding predates the state of Massachusetts so its charter is actually incorporated into the Massachusetts state constitution. So there’s a decent legal argument that Massachusetts could reform or revolutionize Harvard’s governance through amending its own state constitution.
White supremacy and the alternative seeming worse to a lot of the actual voters (not the Bluesky commentariat that lives elsewhere) is not a secret conspiracy
Chuck Schumer backed Mills
It’s the national party too
Correction: LaFlamme is now running as a write-in for the Dem primary
Personally I think filing as an independent in the general would be better so that people have a third option in the general
bsky.app/profile/john...
That’s the National Dems
She’s Chuck’s choice
why are you guys in my mentions asking ridiculous questions like this in response to threads that include posts like this one
What the fuck do you think a “structural problem” is? A positive?

I answered you honestly. I don’t need to figure out what I’d do in that field 🤷🏽♀️
“I didn’t investigate candidate 2”
bsky.app/profile/chan...
“Candidate 1 has done antisemitic shit so Candidate 2’s anti-indigenous racism is not worth remarking upon“ looks how it looks
Candidate 1 is bad so Candidate 2 must be good is a logical fallacy
I’m not a Maine voter because I live over the border so I don’t need to figure out how I would vote in that election
And his primary opponent refused to sign legislation into law that would have protected her constituents from the secret police
Massive asshole energy, whichever asshole you want to compare her to
Black voters know more than most about choosing between two racist charlatans in pretty much every American election
I think the idea that anyone is genuine is a fantasy for white voters
