My first thought after listening to Trump last night was to tune in to The Bulwark for interpretation, analysis, reassurrance -- and I have to say that hearing General Hertling saying WTF was oddly reassuring and terrifying at the same time.

"We're all going to die" had me doubled over laughing.

A master class indeed. I heard the briefing this morning and got dizzy trying to understand on any level what Hegseth was saying. Listening to you gentlemen today settled my head, thank you very much (although I'm not sure the question as to which War College is the REAL War College was answered.)

Excellent article. Gen Hertling has the ability to zero in, cut through the noise, and provide a clear, concise, and thoughtful discussion of the pertinent issues. I also saw him on YouTube the other day, with a beautiful presentation at the Principles First summit. I strongly recommend watching.
