Day one purchase for sure. Loved what I played in the demo.

HBomberguy said it best (paraphrasing):
"If someone asks you to make Deus Ex 3, they're trying to trick you into destroying your career"
For me one of the big signs that a game is really special is when I start dreading the end. Not wanting it to be over. Deus Ex, Thief, Prey, and a few others are all games where as I neared the final bits I got a bit melancholy and tried to prolong it
Pragmata is shaping up to be one of those games
Also, that hair tech. I think Diana's hair might be the best I've ever seen in a game. At least for that kind of length with the accompanying movement. Have yet to see it go haywire like so many other games that attempt long-ish hair.
In adventure games I'd take story over puzzles 100 percent of the time.
Tried out the "DirectStorage Update" mod for Pragmata (literally just replacing two dlls, so easy to uninstall as well) and crazily enough have noticed a pretty solid speedup of loading times, especially once in-game and going between the shelter and other levels

That's exactly what I do. Cheap pair of sneakers that never go outside. Works out well!
Yup, got just a pair of cheapo sneakers that stay inside only. Couldn't imagine going barefoot with pets in the house (especially cats and their litter). Plus they keep my feet warm but not suffocating like slippers and they protect against stubbed toes.
Also, no, even though they're only worn inside they *never* go on the bed.
If I didn't have pets I'd probably go barefoot. Despite vacuuming a few times a week they still manage to track bits of litter everywhere. As it is I wear a pair of "inside shoes", that are only ever worn inside. Even if I step out to grab the mail, they get taken off.Tried slippers but wasn't a fan
It's kind of amazing that even happened. I really can't imagine most game companies nowadays releasing an editor that essentially gives you the game exe for free every time you make a level.
Got it last night, right before the pre-orders were up. One of my rare "full price" purchases as I tend to wait for sales. Gonna start it tonight and have the whole weekend clear of other responsibilities.
The only real caveat is that Framegen tends to *really* not like repeating lines. Stuff like stairways, chain link fences, etc. can get "wobbly" even in ideal scenarios. But most of the time it's not super noticeable unless you're looking for it.
Yep, it's perfect for slower paced games when you have a higher than 60hz monitor but can't quite maintain a steady >60 framerate.
Trying to use at less than 60 though? Not great in my experience at all.
It scales up very nicely, still looks great and *unlike* Dishonored 2 it runs like a dream. There's even a fancy HDR mod for it nowadays for that extra oomf.

Yup, got refunded on both this and the Atomic Heart Premium Edition.
Always thought that dude was off, even back in the early oculus days. But what really made me think he was a piece of shit was his public twitter gloating at the closure of Waypoint.
Holy shit, can't believe I've just learned about this. A VOIVOD metroidvania, with direct involvement from the band. Both art and music.

His (now long defunct) solo project is great as well!

Funny as well that the versions they're selling on GOG and Steam don't come with Classic ReBirth or anything so they're pretty much *worse* versions than you can just grab for free.
Not that those games have been hard to find or anything before this, but now that Capcom's selling them again on multiple storefronts hopefully it keeps flying under the radar.
I tried out Biorand on your suggestion and it's super cool. But yeah, questionable like your list says. You can just download all three games and not randomize and just have RE1-3 for free with fixes included.
But yeah, imo System Shock 2 outclasses it. And my hot take is Bioshock 2 does as well, especially the DLC
I don't know about now, but at the time it was really the first big "imsim" released for the PS3/360 generation, and by Irrational no less. Plus the graphics were really great for the time, especially the water.
I liked it quite a bit even though it's really just System Shock 2 reskinned
The Last of Us the Show the game
Always wondered what those bars were about, the whole step seemed kind of useless.
It really feels like most games that implement HDR have vastly different settings for it and almost nothing is explained. I've had to glean stuff from the internet, you, the subreddit, etc.
Quantum Break's interesting. IIRC didn't it have a weird proto-dlss upscaler years before it became a thing in other games. I played it a year or two ago and remember having to do some cfg tweaking or something to disable it and get it running at native resolution.
The only time I've ever heard of "Pirate Software" is youtube recommendations. Never watched a single one and I've taken to hitting "Don't recommend channel" on any thumbnail where I see that dude's stupid mug staring at me.
