🛠️ MAINTENANCE UPDATE
The ICE Warehouse Tracker is getting a new column: The Appraisal Gap. We’re now tracking the dollar amount ICE paid above the last official sale or property appraisal. Expect some glitches over the next hour while we bake this in!

the extent to which posts on Nextdoor are people begging for work (to an extent they were not previously) seems concerning
@kim.senate.gov Senator, any chance you can get the State of New Jersey to fix its official NJ OPRA request form? It contains code that's been mangling and discarding requests for years. Total violation of ADA and NJ LAD, not an exaggeration. www-njlib.nj.gov/NJ_OPRA/opra...
@aclu-nj.org New Jersey's OPRA portal is super broken (technical term). Just sent you an email and I guarantee this is something that's impacted you in the past.

Unfortunate development on the HB630 front.
The MD legislature has moved the committee hearing to March 11th. We don’t yet know why.
Every delay in the process of resisting ICE’s use of shipping centers for mass detention centers is unacceptable.
More to follow as we learn more.

Whether called routine targeted enforcement or not, the geographic spread and compressed timeframe have fueled a perception of coordination, raising questions about strategy and impact on immigrant communities.
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill signed an executive order restricting ICE access to nonpublic state property without a judicial warrant, and a portal was launched for residents to upload enforcement encounters.
Widely shared reports from Passaic County communities (Totowa, Clifton, Passaic) and Wayne’s Preakness documented ICE checkpoints and early-morning enforcement actions.
High-Impact Incident — Lindenwold:
In Lindenwold, fourth and fifth graders waiting at a school bus stop ran in panic when ICE activity unfolded nearby, prompting school officials to deploy counselors.
Rapid Video Circulation:
Photos and videos of these encounters were posted online within minutes, amplifying community concern and sparking real-time documentation.
Activities often occurred in neighborhoods with unmarked SUVs and small teams before dawn, causing confusion and fear among nearby residents.
Verified federal operations and widely shared resident reports reveal a pattern of early-morning targeted pickups in residential areas — not just workplace raids. These incidents share common characteristics and have spread rapidly.
New reporting shows a clustered surge of federal immigration enforcement activity across New Jersey over the past 10 days — spanning Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, and Camden counties. A new timeline lays out confirmed actions, community reports, and state responses. jersey.substack.com/p/ice-stages...

ICE has been showing up in Passaic County towns the last few days.
Dozens of students scrambled from their bus stop in Camden County on Thursday to avoid an Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation, according to officials.
Case in point, using 287(g) agreements, Philly ICE arrested 650+ people in about 14 days in West Virginia... While Metro Surge was absolutely raging a couple time zones away.
Not to be "that guy" but immigration enforcement operations are going massively underreported around the nation. When you start to aggregate the data and match up the dates (which is what we do), ICE has been working hard pretty much nationwide, using deputized DSS/TSA/IRS and more, since last fall.
