I was even having a bit of trouble with "immersive" in that context.

"Gravy" subs pretty well for "baby":
Somebody's Gravy, Take Good Care of My Gravy, ....
Definitely different! In software development, locking multiple resources can cause a program to stall if not done in a consistent order.
Before I retired, I heard people at my job say that fairly frequently. My usual response was, "Did you get them in the correct order?"

Still working at learning Blender via online tutorials.
I like apples very much and dislike the trend toward ones where the main flavour is sweetness (Gala, Fuji). I think I could live on Northern Spy alone. ๐

Nice! When I did 3D art in the past, I used something called POV-Ray. It built up scenes from text descriptions of objects, materials, and transformations, so I have a decent grasp of the concepts. The Blender UI and its implementation of the concepts, on the other hand, is a new world.
I have a long-time interest in computer graphics, especially 3D, but haven't done much with it in a couple of decades. Now, I'm working my way through some tutorial material on a modelling/rendering/animation/... program called Blender and trying not to be overwhelmed.
I've given away a lot of the RPG stuff I used to own, but there's still a shelf of material here. The anonymous binders in the picture are Judges Guild and Thieves Guild rules and modules.
When it doesn't snow, the universe is telling you the same thing, but speaking more quietly.
Back to music-related posts.... I recently discovered that Joe Bonamassa covered the song that originally made me a Jethro Tull fan. (I find cover versions of songs a fascinating subject for analysis.)

Thanks. I guess he did know it; he wanted to be combed and brushed more than any other cat I've known.
Thanks. "Void" is correct. I have many pictures of him where it just looks like someone has removed a vaguely cat-shaped section of the photo.
A black cat faces forward, image taken showing only gold/green eyes against black texture.

I'm still working my way past: there was perfectly-crafted code pre-AI?
I guess some young people know exactly what they'll be doing for the rest of their lives, but my expectations while in college had little connection to how the reality developed.

I'm surprised that you have checkout stations with workers at them. The trend I see is to turn customers into the store's unpaid labour.
Though, if Slow Horses had a theme song, you'd think that might be of interest. ๐
My first reading tried to make FACT into a verb. As in, "Many countries seem to have political parties that don't fact very well."
It was either that or paint it orange and put a giant MAGA hat on top.
I didn't know that Reba was a Siberian. I have nothing to say about that except that you're making me wonder about our of-unknown-breeding girl. ๐
Liked this a lot, but it was gone so fast that I'm not sure I saw all the episodes that do exist. www.imdb.com/title/tt0115...
My brain keeps wanting to riff on, "And here's to you, Tyler Robinson." Bad brain. Evil brain.
I assume "sot" stands for "some odious troll"; the "bs" is obvious.
It depends...maybe the shooter was aiming for an ear.
