It means custom bed models are possible in Java resource packs without any mods! This lets us port lots of old LCE packs much easier.

From the Minecraft 26.2 snapshot 3 changelog: Beds now use block models and textures
Huge win in today's snapshot
Are there any plans to ever add a Latest Release / Latest Snapshot option? I find I would get a lot of use out of two instances set to those options
I doubt they will be fixed anytime soon. Very few fixes are related to Vibrant Visuals nowadays.
The Ancient Valley structure with Vibrant Visuals enabled.
The Jungle Monolith structure with Vibrant Visuals enabled.
The Smoldering Castle structure with Vibrant Visuals enabled.
The Fishing Shack structure with Vibrant Visuals enabled.
Timeless Adventures 1.2 is out now with support for Vibrant Visuals, Hardcore mode, and all the latest drops!

Carpets might be a good fit
Despite these variety complaints, I really like the look of Cinnabar. I'm glad to have desaturated red bricks that don't have a mortar texture on them.
I will probably never use Sulfur if it keeps its current look. The gold-esque look from Live was more interesting. The new one just looks dirty.
This is the best argument for concrete slabs, stairs, and walls in my eyes. There are so many issues with variety that just disappear if we have concrete in all the expected block varieties.
It would be amazing if we had terracotta slabs, stairs, and walls too, but I doubt that will ever happen.
The "wall" search results in Minecraft. The only cool color is the Prismarine Wall.
It's almost the exact same situation with walls. Thankfully, slabs and stairs at least have oxidized copper and warped wood, but still, where is sky blue? Where is purple??
The results from searching "bricks" in the Creative inventory in Minecraft. The only cool color is on Prismarine Bricks.
It's still wild that there are so many bricks in Minecraft now, and only ONE is in a cool color, which doesn't even use a square brick style. Can we not have deep blue bricks? Green bricks? Purple? So many gorgeous options are missing :(

Vulkan already, wow!
I really hope at least one of the slimes keeps the current design and the others just change resolution to match the block size.
That hasn't stopped them yet
It's fine to say "We cut it from the update because we only had 6 months between 1.18 and 1.19, and the deep dark was our priority." But this isn't what they said at all.
The size of 1.19 was really impressive through that lens either way. The community situation around it was just bad.
I still think "concept art is not a commitment" is one of the weirdest rugpulls from Mojang ever.
The 1.19 presentation showed Mangrove Swamp in-game -> Mangrove Swamp concept art -> Birch Forest concept art. It's wild to act like people shouldn't have expected Birch Forest features in 1.19.
I am excited to pivot to a new style of content on my (yes, my very own) YouTube channel!!! Please watch my (AgentMindStorm) video on this valuable, key insight topic!

Unfortunately Keke was launched into the atmosphere following this announcement ๐
You are definitely using another pack causing that issue, like a Java Combat pack.
That's weird. I had to update all my packs after 1.21.110 because I couldn't use those min engine versions without PBR anymore. I learned about the restriction back in Fall so I know it's been in the game for a while.
If the min engine version is too high (I think it's around 1.21.90) without the PBR capabilities, the game automatically disables VV. You could lower min engine version if you want, but that's a bad idea for future compatibility. PBR capabilities are the best way to do it, unfortunately.
You have an error in your JSON now. You need to use JSONLint to validate the file.
You need to include the PBR capabilities in the manifest if your pack version is above 1.21.90. You can see Aspects for an example!
Yep, this is shipped officially in 26.10
Change Screen Safe Area: Make sure the game looks great in your device's screen
Fullscreen: Minecraft, in full screen
TNT explodes: Red box goes boom This is the worst offender by the way. Tell me what happens when you light TNT with this option disabled! What about TNT entities that are already spawned? Just give me real information.
Render Clouds: Happy little clouds in the sky
Here are more examples of what not to do.
I would much rather have an actual description of what Fullscreen means for me. What is the Safe Area? What happens to TNT entities when this setting is disabled? Does disabling "Render Clouds" affect game mechanics like Happy Ghast regen?
A screenshot from the Bedrock Edition settings menu. Fancy Leaves: Leaves but better Fancy Bubbles: Bubbles with style
I hate to harp on small things, but the "funny" descriptions in the new settings menu really irk me. Settings descriptions should be informative! Tell me what the settings do, especially when the name is as vague as "Fancy Leaves".
They almost feel AI-generated, like the AI didn't have any context.
This is Bedrock Edition
From the changelog: "World Generation: It is now possible to generate single biome Dripstone Cave worlds"
Can you explain what this means? Is there a new world generation option for single biome worlds?
Mobs are controlled by a single render controller file. Mojang updated *all* the render controller files of baby mobs. As should be expected, this broke a lot of things!
