Llaren Terano is a hostile Dark Elf sorcerer and a worshipper of Molag Bal.
He and his followers have taken up residence in Rotheran, where they have set up a secret gladiator's arena to pit slaves against daedra and animals to fight to their death for Llaren's amusement.
The classic scenario of downloading a Morrowind mod from a sketchy website and it starts playing Oingo Boingo when you enter the sewers
Oh right, like those Mediafire-type websites? I've always hated dealing with those.
My first thought was of the original PES mod page from 2007, which is where I first downloaded it.
Somehow I had missed that it had also been posted to the Nexus, been a long time since I played The Underground.
Sketchy? Wasn't The Underground 2 by Qarl hosted on Morrowind Summit/Planet Elder Scrolls back in the day? Though I suspect the music redistribution in the mod files probably wouldn't pass muster on the Nexus.
If memory serves, that mod also includes tracks from the Buffy the Vampire Soundtrack.
And that's it for the 2025 Season of Morrowind Modding Madness! Congrats to all of the teams for another fantastic year with some truly excellent Morrowind mods!
Linked below is a complete list of all of our previous Madness winners, from 2016 to 2025!
Featuring a large dungeon delve with a unique boss opponent, The Fiend of Ald Andalor provides an atmospheric adventure into the undead-infested depths of the Grazelands.
Finally, in 4th place, we have The Fiend of Ald Andalor by Team TBD, composed of DaisyHasACat, Kalinter, Moros, and LadyPhoenixFireRose.
The smallest of the 2025 Madness mods, The Fiend of Ald Andalor is a quest and dungeon mod based in the Grazelands of eastern Morrowind.
Featuring the jungle environments of Black Marsh, a number of unique puzzles, and quests that delve deep into the lore of the Morag Tong and the Hist, The Unhatched is truly a one of a kind adventure, and one of the most ambitious undertakings of 2025!
It fell just shy of both 1st and 2nd place.
In 3rd place is The Unhatched by The Netch Fetchers, composed of Lord Zircon, VigaWatt, Von Djangos, Vegetto and Tapetenklaus.
One of the more ambitious entries in 2025, The Unhatched includes a slice of Black Marsh itself, a new questline that delves into the mysteries of the Hist.
The team, composed of EnclaveKiller, MasterOfChim, CarlZee, Sch2266 & Varlothen, designed a decidedly horror-themed dungeon adventure mod for Madness, with numerous atmospheric locations and gruesome boss battles.
Arguably one of the most unique mods of 2025, it fell just short of 1st place.
Coming in 2nd place is Darkness Over Dunbal by The Ancestral Ghostbusters, a new landmass mod featuring a battle between the Daedric princes of Namira and Meridia, a fight between the darkness and decay and life and light.
With hundreds of new assets, massive new dungeons and realms to explore, and an intriguing questline, The Garden of Dreams was arguably the largest mod submitted for the 2025 Season of Madness.
Built in only a month, it's quite the visual technical achievement!

The Morrowind Modding Community is truly enjoying an unprecedented golden age, and with new Tamriel Rebuilt expansions and a new release from Skyrim - Home of the Nords hovering on the horizon, who knows what heights the community will achieve in 2026?
As I always say, the best games never die!
And to demonstrate how much has changed in a decade, in 2015 there were only 500 new mods releases recorded for Morrowind, and only 2,583,000 downloads for Morrowind mods between the Nexus and Morrowind Modding History.
2025 has seen nearly 4x the number of mods, and over 12x the mod downloads!
To put that into perspective, there were 14,738,000 downloads recorded for Morrowind mods in 2024. 2025 has more than DOUBLED that tally! Even providing for automated mod lists, that's a lot more people playing Morrowind mods!
Not only was 2025 a big year for new mod releases, but it was also Morrowind's biggest year in terms of mod downloads. Nexus Mods recorded 31,154,000 downloads for Morrowind mods in 2025, 29.94% of ALL downloads recorded for Morrowind on the Nexus since 2005!
December 2025 is on the record books, and with it Morrowind Modding's biggest year has come to an end! 117 new mods were released last month, bringing 2025 to a staggering total of 1,923 new mod releases for Morrowind, the most ever recorded in a single year!
