Yes, they always seem to have a bit more time to achieve the filmed location footage, and it's mostly done single camera, which definitely helps.

Graeme Harper in the studio is just superb. It's a shame he never directed a Sylvester McCoy story. I would LOVE to see his version of "Paradise Towers."

Totally. The direction (especially), the script, the music, the performances, the lighting, the design...

It's almost impossible to believe it's from the same programme as any other story in this season.

I'm watching the Season 21 Collection Blu-Ray boxset, and it never fails to astonish me what a complete anomaly "The Caves of Androzani" is.

It feels like this story has been sent back in time from about 20 years in its future.

I tell you what... Watching the glorious William Hartnell in the newly discovered episodes of "The Daleks' Master Plan" has only made me very very hungry for some missing Patrick Troughtons...

Loving "Doctor Who" should be an absolute baseline prerequisite for anyone wanting to be the BBC director-general.

It's interesting reading the info text and listening to the audio commentary on "The Awakening," and learning that neither the main guest star, Polly James, nor the director actually understood any of what was going on in the story.

This explains a fair bit.

The new updated Myrka on the Special Edition of "Warriors of the Deep" is absolutely outstanding.

This demonstrates how magnificent a future Special Edition of "Invasion of the Dinosaurs" could be, and they've set the bar incredibly high for it to live up to!
