Cross to bear etc. It’ll work out.

Plagued with chest pain, exhaustion, and no weights for a week- Dr confirmed this PM a nasty intercostal muscle strain. Painkillers, rest, off you pop.
Somewhat problematic as I use chest/arms for everything in wheelchair. Kinda need ability to use crutches when leg arrives in 3 weeks. Sub-optimal.
Even after his bike was stolen, Gary would not give up on his dream of winning the Tour de France.
Representin’ in the kitchen.
Guess what kit I picked up on Friday.
New leg arrives in 3 weeks, and then we see what’s what.

Just shows fuel for motor vehicles are & have been too cheap! Fuel duty needs to be raised to catch up where it should have been & driving shouldn't be allowed to be so cheap when there's better alternatives, time for modal shifts!!
Thing is, we all have to be responsible adults because kids... Can't be. They just can't. Clue is in the word "kids". And the most hazard you represent to children the more responsibility you must display. Drivers have no excuses here. At all. Ever.
Lots going on work-wise, trustee-wise, and health-wise I’d like to talk about but, frankly, exhausted. Can barely string a sentence together for social media. Not in dire straits, just tired and prioritising. Sorry.
Yesterday was date night, so privileged to take the special one @alice_staniford for lamb rump and ribeye @harrys_restaurant.
Concern grows for Suella Braverman as she completely forgets she spent nine years as part of the Conservative government, including two periods as Home Secretary, responsible for immigration.
Sticker on the back of an electric London bus. 'The speed of this bus is restricted to the local limit'.
Now do cars.
Please help me out by pretending the Chairman of Reform didn't just show that he doesn't know what local elections are and thinks we are in America.
Some days you’re the hammer. Some days you’re the nail. Long week. I’m in bed and have been since 6:30pm. Good night.
Today is a 4 coffee day.
We already knew Richard Tice aggressively avoided tax. Now we’re told his company just plain failed to pay tax that was legally due. For someone supposedly in public service he goes to extreme lengths to avoid paying his fair share towards public services www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
That’ll do, donkey. That’ll do.
Grateful to enter a recovery week and short transition phase before leg, and PEDALLING, arrive from 9th May on.
Image looking at the silhouette of a young man in a wheelchair. He is in a garage looking out on a sunny countryside. Behind him is the shadow of a road racing bicycle.
Waiting.
Really like this image.
Reposting because I didn't use the hi def version originally and got told off by @joenorledge. Devoted to his craft.
Just for you
Who let the dogs out?! Etc.
It may seem like nerdy detail that the increasing weight of cars is worsening potholes, but it matters.
The car makers push to sell wider and heavier cars is increasing road maintenance costs and that affects us all.
Not to mention worse crash outcomes and less space to pass (wider) parked cars.

… alcohol tolerance seem to be slowly returning as didn’t feel bad this morning. And don’t think I embarrassed myself too much with last night’s tasting notes.
Roger also wore his amputation sleeve for a colossal 7hrs with no discomfort- and that really is good progress.
Onwards.
Evening sunset over #ExeterQuay following a very enjoyable inaugural Whisky Tasting event at @crossedanchorsbrewing @devon_dram_club. 5 interesting and atypical offerings in good company and expertise from @spirited_rambler
As an added bonus my nose, palate, and…
Special recovery day today. Minimal work. 3 quality coffees. Chocolate waffle. Stretching. Reading. A nap. Pizza later, and a Whisky Tasting evening. Il dolce far niente.
“Disproportionate”. I’d love to know where he gets his figures from.
Available on CD, vinyl, and digital download from your usual provider.
Experimental hip hop album dropping 2027
I have discussions like this extremely regularly.
Loads of dodgy cyclists around. But they don't kill 5 a day.
So what should the priority be?
…The golden sausage on Chrissy’s screen is the completed model of Roger! That gets sent off and we collect the finished prosthetic leg on 8th May. #DontSkipLegDay.
Alongside all this, good chap @joenorledge was down and we got some good shots and footage for a forthcoming very exciting project.
GOOD NEWS: we collected Roger’s amputation sleeve and it fits very nicely. Now to practice using it over next few weeks so the limb gets used to contact, heat, gentle compression.
We were also able to scan my leg for the 3D-printed external prosthetic socket…
I've taught European history for thirty years. Americans have always asked me how the Holocaust was possible, how Germans could have enabled a madman reveling in mass murder to carry out his plans. Now we can see in real time how this is enabled; now we Americans have front-row seats.
