I built an agentic programmer using Laravel Prompts as a demo for a talk on async php.

The secret sauce behind ClaudeCode, OpenCode, GeminiCli, Codex, etc is just the interface. The actual agent is shockingly simple, and you can do it using standard http requests in a loop.

Hold up. You're in Vancouver right now? If you're still around tomorrow do you wanna meet up for a beer or your beverage of choice?

Meaning that the circumference of the earth is exactly 40k Kms. Not by chance, but by design. It's since been redefined in terms of distance travelled by light in a known, measurably small length of time, but still

Can I go full nerd on this statement? The meter works so well for geospatial calculation because the meter is fundamentally based on the earth. The meter was invented by the French bureau of weights and measures, and is defined as one ten-millionth of the distance from the north pole to the equator.

Pair With Me - Ed Grosvenor

I said months ago that I wanted to start pairing regularly with new people, but client work got in the way. Summer is shaping up to be a relatively peaceful time for me, so now is a great time to get this started. Use this link to grab an hour! calendar.app.google/RthNTaLYCA9Q...

Welcome Our recipes for Laravel are interactive scripts that help you do hours, days, or weeks of work on your Laravel app with a few clicks.

Hey everyone, @gros.co and I had planned on doing the draw for our extra @laracon.us community bundle ticket today, but I had to go to the hospital to get my gallbladder removed instead. You've got one more day to go to laravel.recipes and register

Today's "Slack Chat Quote of the Day" goes out to @coulb.com:

"You know a Boolean is just an enum with two cases"

We're building a bunch of internal tools that we use to ship micro sasses in record time, which we plan to open up to the public some time this year. And then some educational content we're putting together, and a community platform that's cheaper than slack, and less noisy than discord

Thx man! We're both super excited. We've got plenty of work lined with a few fantastic clients so that we can build up some runway while we finish up some of our products

I ended up just buying a $500 combo unit from a local franchise and focusing on the music for now. I can always upgrade the hardware later

[1.x] Adds `--diff` option by ProjektGopher · Pull Request #327 · laravel/pint This PR is how I've always wished the --dirty flag worked. pint --dirty will lint staged and unstaged files (and possibly untracked?). But once a file is committed, it will not be touched again...

Running `./vendor/bin/pint --diff=main` in CI could save you a **ton** of time... 👀
