FT: England 1-0 Spain
Plenty of chances but somehow this ends with just one goal scored, that by Lauren Hemp in the third minute. An outstanding save by Hannah Hampton in the final minute denies Edna Imade a late equaliser. England three points clear at the top of the group.

What a save Hampton! Great header from a corner by Imade but the England goalkeeper is equal to it in the 90th minute

Edna Imade and Lucia Corrales on for Spain, Claudia Pina and Olga Carmona off. Still 1-0 to England, with 15 minutes to go
England's first sub sees Laura Blindkilde Brown replace Lucia Kendall
First sub of the day is made by Spain, as Salma Paralluelo is introduced for Esther Gonzalez
Entirely different game in the first 15 mins of this second half. Chances galore for both sides after they were at a premium in the first. Carmona and Lopez have both hit the woodwork for Spain, Russo, Kendall and James with great chances for England. Still 1-0...
We're back underway at Wembley - no changes at the break
HT: England 1-0 Spain
Spain with more of the ball but England with clearer chances. Hemp's acrobatic effort the difference at the break and she could've had a second when she hit the post. Hampton yet to be tested at the other end, with most of Spain's best efforts off target.
So close to a second for England. Hemp bursts down the right, plays Bronze into the box and she backheels it for Hemp, who curls a shot towards the far corner which hits the post. Spain with more of the ball but not looking a threat really yet. Too many loose touches/passes
Corner into the box causes chaos and Russo manages to somehow flick the ball up while on the ground, with Hemp pouncing brilliantly to acrobatically direct it towards goal. Coll can't save it, Putellas can't clear off the line and it's 1-0 England!
GOAL! Hemp!
We're underway at Wembley...

Great programme design for the Lionesses’ 500th international fixture, featuring the names of every player to represent the national team
Aged 17, Erica Parkinson is the youngest call-up by Sarina Wiegman as England manager.
Who is she, what does she bring to the table and why has she got this huge chance with the Lionesses?
Lotte Wubben-Moy has never been particularly high up England's centre-back pecking order but, with Leah Williamson's fitness in real doubt and her Arsenal team-mate in fine form, Sarina Wiegman should turn to the 27-year-old for the visit of Spain next week 🏴
Autocorrect not my friend
Renee Slegers says Leah Williamson will be assessed on the back of this morning’s training session but she ought to be in the squad tomorrow.
Lauren James, Lucy Bronze, Veerle Buurman, Sjoeke Nüsken and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd will all be available for Chelsea tomorrow, despite not being in training this morning.
Sonia Bompastor “hopeful” Millie Bright and Aggie Berger-Jones will be back after the international break.
"She's a very dynamic attacking midfielder who wants to go forward and is also very aggressive and pretty technical."
Full quotes as Sarina Wiegman explains why she's given a first senior England call-up to 17-year-old Erica Parkinson ⬇️
Sarina Wiegman, asked if Leah Williamson will be fit to face Spain in two weeks: "We're expecting that. She's in a good place and she's building. The niggle she picked up is not the worst but it just takes a little bit of time."
Really cool to see Erica Parkinson called up by England. Only 17 but has been playing senior football in Portugal for the past three seasons. Technically superb, plays with real confidence and can make things happen. Was U23s best player vs Norway in Nov, despite being the youngest on the pitch!
Elisabeth Terland dealing with an achilles issue that has come from overuse, Skinner explains. "We'll see if we can get her for Wednesday but she's in real pain."
Marc Skinner: "I'm not really disappointed with any of the players. Of course, I'm disappointed with the result, it's a horrible result, but the players gave everything. We're limited. We're making uncharacteristic mistakes because we're fatigued, mentally."
Jeglertz confirms that the fourth official told him this was disallowed because someone (Fujino) was affecting the goalkeeper.
Andrée Jeglertz: "She was happy after the game so hopefully nothing serious."
Not had a proper check on her so soon after full-time, but doesn't seem particularly concerned.
City have now scored 12 goals from corners, too, after Miedema's opener here. That's the joint-most in a single WSL campaign, level with City's own return in the 2020-21 season.
