“Non-stick” pan... that egg seems like it has made itself quite at home actually.
if that had to be manually translated, it would be a huge workload and i feel like in this case the dataset is dictionary based, or could use regular machine translating. the problem for me is the voice generating (from just such short videos?!) and editing peoples faces. that is the wtf factor!
obviously im against the genai as it is now, but with a proper dataset and regulations it could have its uses. i would still prefer man made translations, but imo its not on the same level as written text (unless localization is needed for a longer body of work) when it comes to short videos
i was thinking about this because of me occassionaly posting a reel with music, which i want to minimize, i thought about doing simple voice overs in place of copyrighted music. this however is making me reconsider, copying my work/photos be damned, but copying my likeness and voice is off-putting
in a better world, it would be based on user request, the video author confirms the translation, then actual translators could get extra gigs to look over the auto translation to fix up mistakes. but the way its done automatically without many even knowing, copying their likeness, is poor handling
to translate this. guessing thats just "fine" since the use of ig posts for ai is just a tos thing but man its so awful. this to me isnt even a bad use of gen ai, honestly translating reels seems pretty interesting and has potential, its just how unregulated genai is from the start and forced
seeing a ton of ai translated reels and its creepy ngl especially seeing how most of the times the poster has no idea its even translating their reels automatically, assuming its another auto opt in situation, which im sure is pre-consented but its generating you a new mouth and sampling your voice
So… I am heavily considering opening up another mask slot for the summer just because I do need the funds and nobody has been biting for art commissions since February. Masks start at 2,800 USD.

Has anyone worked with superminky for fursuits yet? The hobbyhorse community has cooked up an interesting fabric that is supposed to be between velboa and minky...looks promising! #fursuitmaking #fursuit
also wondering how the backing looks like, as most of these kind of short pile furs i come across have that weird shiny slippery "bunny" fur backing... if i had use for it right now i would order some (though its a bit pricey for just a 75cm square)
that looks really good!! i came across something similar a few years ago, only have leftover scraps now, can't find at all where i even bought it and i wish i got more back then cause it was a very dense 4-5mm pile fur, but i only bought enough for this tiny tail and feathers 💔 happy to see this!

A brownish-black insect with four yellow spots ion his elytra and a pair of pincer protruding from his abdomen. He is standing on a white sheet.
We found this amazing earwig at a bug light last night. This one is a male, they typically have larger pincers. There is not much info available about the genus so I'm not sure why he has those strange protrusions from his abdomen.

and to add some sketches i also made when i was a teen, also 2013/14? ow the edge, but there's something to that long sharp snout lol it's what i referenced for the newest piece, kinda (read as: thought of this art but didn't have it in front of me, just drew from memory, remembering the design)
found old art in my gallery. the first is probably from around 2014, but i completely forgot to add the white belly and inner ear tufts there💔 the second one is 2020-something, i noticed in the new version i made the claws white for some reason. but i like the darker claws so i would change that lol
to add to this after more research its not a new thing, just more people seem to be commenting on it now, but i havent yet seen a real case from a small creator. still just to be safe i will not add any more audios to ig posts and for reels i will see, maybe make a little tune myself lol
creator accounts then! very misleading, even if it makes sense with copyrighted music on business related posts, but the regular user will of course not think about whats presented to them as okay to use. i just hate that the resposibility is put on the user and not insta for providing it to you
from instagrams list, for many and me included it just shows the trending tabs and general copyrighted music for creator accounts.
one would think ig has this covered and its some fair use when used for a few seconds when they push it to use for every post. it should simply not be allowed for
