Macoto Takahashi sadly passed away on November 17 at the age of 90 due to his battle with cancer.

He was a pioneer shoujo mangaka whose works are credited for significantly influencing the aesthetic of classic shoujo. RIP.

I hope he’s able to rest peacefully now. One of my biggest inspirations what a remarkable human being. I’ll treasure his works and legacy forever. May the stars shine brighter with him lending them his light 💖
