We’re still in spring - and a long way off harvesting honey 🐝

But now’s the time to understand what you’re actually buying.

Because honey isn’t just honey. It reflects flowers, place, and season.

Worth knowing before the jars appear 🍯

Bees don’t visit flowers at random… they choose them. 🐝
If your garden (or your office) isn’t designed for pollinators, they’ll simply move on.

Nature is selective. Maybe we should be too. 🌼

“Can you control them?”

“Like children?”

In light of it being Pancake Day tomorrow - we wanted to share that honey crystallising isn’t a problem to fix. It’s a normal change in texture caused by sugars over time. It doesn’t mean the honey is bad - neither a purity test!

A warm water bath brings it back if you prefer it runny. 🍯🥞

Swift bricks to be installed on all new buildings in Scotland as MSPs back law Rest of UK has resisted calls to make builders install bricks that provide nesting for swifts and other endangered birds

From now on, all new buildings in Scotland will include swift bricks - giving swifts a safe place to nest as our towns and cities grow.
