My producer has been trying to get my short film footage from the last editor who we weren't happy with. He finally got it from him. And now he's saying it's having trouble booting. He said he will pay to get it fixed. I'm trying not to panic. Should I be panicking?!

Well that should help some. Somehow, I know exactly how many pages it will be. I mean, not perfectly. But I seem to get right where I want to be on page count. I always worry I won't. But somehow I do!

Additional advice: Use that two weeks to work on *another* story. You not only push the new project forward, you double the "distance" from the current draft you've set aside.

Hmmm I use outlines so I know the length I'll be. I know some people like to be panters. So thought might make it harder to keep it short.

Oh gosh, screenplays are short to me after writing my first novel.
