I appreciate that but I have tried everything. The hardest thing for me is I have absolutely no transportation nor can I afford the $35 round trip taxi fare to go 3 miles where I live! It's all good until it isn't.

I very much appreciate that and the fact that you care enough to write. I have been trying to survive since my car died in February of 2025. I don't know about other states but I will tell you that help and Texas sucks! It's just a typical run around bullshit cycle that doesn't end.

I came to sell Texas in 2018 as a volunteer for a non-profit for hurricane Harvey. Ended up being offered a job and stayed until we closed.
I find "celebrity" to be a fucking joke. A rich celebrity dies and gets several million dollars on their GoFundMe because they died of cancer. I have five different types of cancer, lost my car over a year ago and can't afford food or rent. I'm just an average senior and very few give a fuck! Sad...
I want to add to that. A car that was given to me died in February of 2025 and I have no transportation to be able to get a job in this little town. There is one cabin they charge $35 round trip which sucks when most jobs here pay an average of $13 an hour! I wash my clothes in my kitchen sink!

Exactly. I'm a senior "surviving" on generic saltines. No groceries and facing being homeless. I guess people just don't understand what it's like. Until I ran out of napkins, I used to refold them so I could use one for 4 days. I can't even afford deodorant. And I'm tired of being judged!
