Members of my family in Lebanon have been killed by Israel. Our family home in Bint Jbeil has been completely destroyed.

As the son of a Lebanese Muslim migrant from Bint Jbeil, I stand in unwavering solidarity with activist movements in support of the liberation of Palestine and Lebanon.

My family is from Bint Jbeil in the south of Lebanon, just a few kilometres from the Israeli border. Bint Jbeil has suffered massive widespread destruction by Israel. Recent footage reveals that it resembles Gaza. Israel is still illegally occupying and encircling Bint Jbeil today.

I am honoured to be one of four preliminarily preselected lead candidates for The Greens NSW for the Legislative Council. There has never been an Arab Greens MP elected to any parliament in Australia. With your help, we have the chance to make history.

and defend police brutality against anti-genocide protesters and praying Muslims.

Support and vote for truly progressive parties/candidates who unequivocally oppose Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity, not those who welcome genocidal war criminals, light up the Opera House in the colours of the Israeli flag, demonise and target anti-genocide protesters,

The NSW election is in March next year. Do not vote for Labor. Teach Chris Minns and his government a lesson.

Arab/Muslim brothers and sisters, stop inviting Labor leaders and ministers to community events.

There must be consequences for Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity. Words of “concern” are not enough.

The Albanese government must take action. We need a two-way arms embargo on Israel. Expel the Israeli ambassador. Boycott, divest and sanction!

This isn’t Gaza. This is Bint Jbeil. This is my family’s hometown in southern Lebanon.

This is what Israel has done to it.

Israel is a genocidal apartheid terrorist state. Zionism is a death cult.

Peaceful protest is a cornerstone of any mature democracy. These laws sought to silence communities and shut down dissent on the issues that matter most.

In February, as a direct result of these appalling laws, we saw shocking police violence used to silence people protesting the Herzog visit to Australia.

Minns’ anti-protest laws have been struck down.

The NSW Supreme Court have found the draconian anti protest laws rushed through by the Minns Labor Government right before Christmas unconstitutionally curbed our right to freedom of speech.
