Can we just comment on how Cameron Winter dropped an AOTY contender AFTER every major publication released their end-of-year lists? Very on-brand

Thought I'd share my most listened to albums from the last 5 years! Some surprising appearances here, especially from albums that came out this here.

Holy crap, Quirkology is such a throwback. I have to watch those again haha

Velocity: Design: Comfort, Music has the Right to Children and The Lioness (and Imaginal Disk is probably a close 4th)

I was going to say The City until I saw All My Friends, which has one of the greatest climaxes of all time imo

Some good shit! Check out The Dismemberment Plan (especially Emergency & I) and No Knife (especially Fire in the City of Automatons) if you haven't already, I think you'll like those

Nothing quite like a Sunday production test

Oh my god that album is over 2 hours long. I think I just remembered the main problem I have with Swans haha

I just checked my lastfm and apparently listened to Children of God and White Light one time 8 years ago, but I have no recollection of that lol
I'll definitely give those records another chance, thanks for the recs!

Yeah, for real lol. Swans is actually one of those bands that I've just never been able to get into even though they are adjacent to a lot of stuff I listen to. Oxygen is a banger though.

I'm kind of the same, love both of them haha

Sade and Unwound are like polar opposite 80s and 90s music, but I'm all for it

Just finished Of Mice and Men, and damn, what a touching book. After East of Eden and now this one, Steinbeck is probably one of my favourite writers. 💙📚

The average bluesky user is probably engaging a lot more than the average X user, plus it's more likely your posts will actually be seen by your followers on bluesky. The joys of a growing platform

Every other post from him sounds as dumb as that one, so I'm really not sure he's that smart.

The greatest problem in computer science is estimating software installation time. I just watched my new MacBook Pro go from 3 hours, to 2 hours and 45 minutes, to 2 hours and 43 minutes, to 56 minutes, to “about a minute” in the course of an hour. And that’s where I've been for several minutes.

Love Deluxe is sooo gooood. Absolutely flawless record with banger basslines front to back

Yeah, I know, but I'm just used to goodreads and old habits die hard. I'll get round to it one of these days, promise

My god, On The Road is the most boring book I've read (well, or tried to). It made me create a DNF shelf on goodreads. 💙📚

Not exactly the same style as they lack the blackened drums (which is guess makes it Doomgaze?), but check out Holy Fawn! Their debut Death Spells is incredible
