How do you even pick out of the plethora of options?! Adebayor, Nasri?!
Viewing that in real time I was asking for him to be subbed, medical team is there to analyse the players physical wellbeing during a game. Timber and now Jesus are injuries I haven’t seen often with other teams with regards to double injuries/assessments in the same game for the same knee.
What makes it worse is that it’s a player with historic knee issues, who Arteta went on record saying that he didn’t start v New due to him needing his minutes managed, yet he still had to play a fair chunk in the end. All the alarm bells are there, why risk him playing on?
He was bracing his knee with both hands, fingers up inside the back of his knee just like Rodri, medics did the “full” knee check with him on the pitch. All I’m saying is the last two male ACL injuries at the club have come immediately after knee injuries in the same game. Not a coincidence
The club has questions to be asked about the earlier knee injury and inspection Jesus received in the match after a collision with Martinez! He was seen grabbing his knee in the typical ACL fashion, the check was lengthy, he played on however, as did Timber before his full rupture
It’s hard not to be frustrated right? The league is there but we’re just stumbling along behind it by a fraction but the margins are so tight. Bad timing really is the key! If key players arnt injured they’re getting overplayed! Like Timber hanging on in there after his ACL!
Especially when Timber moves to LB, it becomes this midfield congestion, with Partey unable to stay wide or high, or overlap/underlap, and Timber too right footed to get the best out of the LHS. It’s one or the other for me. Unfortunately that’s our injuries crippling the back 4 progressive dynamics
I agree with you, but I feel like it was Partey who came on at the same time, he just doesn’t get the best out of either Saka or Odegaard/Nwaneri when he plays, he was way too narrow and deep when he came on, couldn’t find any progressive passes to either Saka or Ethan, and it completely killed RHS
'Stiltwoman' - Oil Pastel, 2022, 48 x 48cm - Another in a 5 part series of Oil Pastels for last years show at Carn, of the Zancudos of Zaachila, the stilt-dancers, some are men dressed as women.
He seems to have atleast one big chance every time he’s on the pitch, looks like a player who could easily get 15+ all comps
'Stiltman' - Oil Pastel, 2022, 48 x 48cm - an oil pastel from last year's exhibition, based on the infamous Zaachila Zancudos, from a community
in Oaxaca.
'The Masked Lady of Cuilapam' - an oil pastel from 2022 - Inspired by the carnivals in Oaxaca, this was a dancer from one troupe, coming out of Cuilapam
