I was just reading yesterday about a Goldeneyes player from Vancouver with no apparent Chinese background (other than she was currently playing for a club team based in China) who suited up for China in 2022 under mysterious circumstances. They gave her a Chinese name and everything.

I love it too, I just wish the roster rules were a little more stringent. Having a bunch of US dudes on Italy kinda bites into the international aspect, for me at least.
