Pinned in a prominently-displayed shadowbox with the rest of his mammalian phallus collection.
Sadly, he is still searching for his white whale (a white whale).
We do very much need to move beyond being "pro" or "con" this stuff. It's going to be as silly as being pro or con steam. Useful policy is not shaped at that level.
INTRODUCTION TO SPHERICAL HARMONICS FOR GRAPHICS PROGRAMMERS
finally done.

Echoes of this in Republicans tightening margins on safe house seats to Gerrymander in Texas, etc. ahead of what seems like a large blue wave midterm based on special election margins
I'm way more worried about AI-enabled social engineering efforts, to be honest.
I actually think on the balance it will be pro-security.
People writing/reviewing code were already trying to avoid vulnerabilities, and people looking to exploit were not publishing if successful. Automated identification should close undisclosed issues easier than allow their abuse.
Gaussian splatting has absolutely no right to work as amazingly as it does.
the thing about nuclear weapons is that it takes substantial effort to make one. LLMs are like nuclear weapons you can make out of tap water.
We have created the DataKrash from Mike Pondsmith's recent ttrpg "Do Not Create The DataKrash"
With all due respect Senator, I'm going to have to say that the President completely usurping congress' sole authority under Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 to declare war is an even bigger and more existential threat here.
Even in a world where LLM never existed this is solid mentoring
This is awesome [ominous and foreboding]
meshoptimizer 1.1 is out!

Incredibly generous of you to think the average person is better about basically any other form of science reporting.
The vast majority of Americans are birthright citizens. Unless you naturalized or were born abroad to an American parent, you are a citizen because of the 14th Amendment. There is nothing constitutionally distinct about Americans born here to non-Americans. We are all literally equal citizens.

youtu.be/6pFNyscvz_w Some more details on the recently shown forest path tracing can be found in this presentation, as well as other useful tips on path tracing integration. In general a lot of NVIDIA GDC 2026 presentations are now public
Lots of tech dudes think the "idea" is the important part of creating, not the creative journey you take through work to give that idea actual meaning. Ideas are the easiest, cheapest and least fulfilling part of it. Giving ideas life through work, and sharing that work with others, is the stuff.
I strongly suspect that Herbert and I would have some fairly substantive disagreements on matters of politics and society, but it would probably be a very engaging and gratifying argument to have as opposed to one with, say, Orson Scott Card.
(I feel similarly about Tolkien vs Lewis)

Yorktown, too!
Weirdly I don't recall us doing a Williamsburg trip
This is another benefit to unionization. In the proper parts of Entertainment, credits are regulated by CBAs and that has led to the custom that those who don’t have CBAs also get proper inclusion. The IGDA did good work here on this, but there’s still a ways to go.
Our Micropolygon pipeline (MPH) rendering the NVIDIA Zorah demo assets in #Anvil.
Zorah is composed of nearly 500 million triangles — but that doesn’t scare us 🙂
Ok got to a better spot
We have both sundogs, a full halo, and an inverted halo!
Incredibly rare - don't think I've ever seen the inverted before

Happy to work with a very cool team and contribute to the forest ray tracing project. youtu.be/RgpAc7U29BA Great collaboration with CD Projekt Red. We will open source the Vulkan sample later this year.
