Anecdotally, it really does seem like a guilty conscience is one hell of a drug. Same deal with the “every accusation is a confession” thing. It’s like for most people if they know they’re doing something wrong, they just can’t shut up about it.

No, you do not sympathize. Generally people who do are willing to put in just a tiny bit of effort for others. I for one do not own a car and use public transport/walk in the middle of the car centric hell that is Florida. But you can't be assed to skip watching a show.

It is stories like this this one that prevent me from enjoying any game that has even remotely gambling adjacent mechanics. Which is unfortunately a lot of them. But thankfully not all.

Previous DLSS versions weren't but DLSS5 literally is though. You can easily fit the entire model on your computer because the largest image models are like ~20 GB. Though of course you also have to fit it on your GPU which is probably why they used TWO 5090s for the demo lol.

Absolutely incredible. I would have loved to come if I wasn't also busy performing the story that I've been looking forward to perform for months at the same time. Your worlds, performances, (and avatars!) are very inspirational.

There’s been hundreds (if not thousands) of years purposely conflating “strong,” “manly” violent leadership with competence. It’s baked into the culture at this point. (Unless the people in that military have brown skin of course. Then they are portrayed as nothing more than hordes of savages).

To make it easier to join regular events rather than needing to request invites every time. Though I wish that we were still able to invite people to group instances directly in case they aren’t in the group yet. Friends+ is a bit too chaotic for a lot of events.

Finally, please don't move to Root. Moving there is just kicking the can down the road by a few months at most.

I wouldn't be terribly upset if Stoat won the popularity contest, because open source is cool. But that project seems content with being Discord but open source. Or at the very least, if there is a vision, they haven't made it easy to find. So in the end, the attempt feels a bit half hearted to me.

Been looking at Discord alternatives and I'd like to shout out Fluxer for having the coolest vision for the future. The app is still a bit unstable so I wouldn't put all of your eggs into the basket. But I do recommend moving at least *some* of your eggs from the Discord basket to the Fluxer one.

It feels like an ideological statement to even suggest it, because such a feature would explicitly encourage users to NOT need to make an account on Fluxer. Just gotta hold the dev to it now.

I really hope more people settle on this one. Forums on the web being on the roadmap is huge. There's so much priceless information that's locked away in miscellaneous discord servers that can't be searched right now. And as much as I'd like to revive normal forums... I can't see that happening.

I keep seeing folks say they'll just accept a Teen Friendly account on Discord rather than scan or ID and I don't know if I wanna mass normalize leaving NSFW pals out in the cold yet again. Especially with all the censorship stuff goin on I think we gotta stand with the freaks now more than ever.

I recently finished writing "The Warden" which is the second short story I've ever written.

I can't wait to perform it for VRTravellers (it launches on the 28th, you should come!)

Writing this has already been really good for the soul. Would recommend.
