This week in Guerrilla Printmaking, we are working on silkscreens using embroidery hoops and cheap polyester fabric. Today's experiments for the demo came out well! Still need to work on my squeegee technique, it's been awhile but I'm happy with the results. Oh, and #FuckICE
Prepping for my Guerrilla Printmaking class at NU, this week is intaglio. I started a NoM Barbie series. First up is drypoint, War Crimes Barbie on recycled salad box. Awesome! I'm doing a bunch of prints for a future project, using and combining different methods. Relief, intaglio, etching, silkscreen, litho, collograph and more. I teach a class on Guerrilla Printmaking so most of the stuff is upcycled or improvised. I did these for the last book I created...
Built a #pastapress hack based on a couple of different designs yesterday. Put it to the test today. Simple tetra pack print and a pronto plate #lithography test. #printmaking #indieart Need to fine tune my litho plate and inking technique, but hey, the $20 press works!!
