And then we loaded him on a cloud of pillows and blankets in the backseat and raced home!

Well, the Pepper pups had her first skunk run in, shortly followed by her first bath. I was fully expecting her to fight us…she is quite the vocal feisty pup and shares her opinions with gusto. But she actually let us scrub her. Now she’s got a heater pointed at her - way too cold to be soggy wet!

He’s doing pretty damn good considering he had a 10 hour surgery two days ago! Might be in the hospital for 4 more days…might be another 11 days. We’ll see. The important thing is he’s healing so well and recovering! 🥳

The manshape is out of surgery! He’s still knocked out and I’m waiting to get in to see him. 10 hours of surgery! Sounds like things went as planned so hurray! Now for the healing! 💗🙏💗

(4/5) Two docs say 4-5 days and one says two weeks. So that’s fun. He’s got an unpleasant few months ahead of him as he recovers. But at the end of it, this should take care of the cancer.

Oh yeah, cancer is stupid. He’s got surgery tomorrow. He has 3 surgeons all working on him who project it will take about 8 hours. And then he’ll be in the hospital anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks.

(2/5) Meanwhile, our hotel is across the street from New Delhi, an amazing Indian restaurant and I, uh, couldn’t resist. So here I am, enjoying a cocktail and about to eat some tasty korma, all while my honey is suffering. I told him I would refrain from solid foods in solidarity if he needed…

I probably a horrible partner…I abandoned my husband in our hotel room the night before his surgery. He is restricted to clear fluids only all day and has to do pre-surgery prep to clear his system…yep, get rid of all the sh*t, that’s what that means.

Seriously. Feeling that!
