I’m playing Need for Speed Heat in Japanese now, and I’m surviving well thanks to the fact I already completed the story twice and I’ve played it in English and Spanish. Also because the car parts and such use so many katakana loan words

I get that, yeah. Different purposes. My reason for using it is the social aspect, and the book recommendation algorithms. I’d never thought of only recording all the books I read (although I might do that now if I stopped using this app)
I didn’t know about a novel, but apparently it is, yeah. In my opinion, there was something off about the timeline transitions, and the Riko storyline was disappointing/weird
I normally love all fiction related to trime travel and cryo freezing, but I just watched the Japanese film called The Door into Summer and it was kinda bad
I’ve started using Goodreads more again and recording every book I read. I always read more in the summer, so I expect to have many updates in the coming months. Maybe there are more people who’d like to add me there?

See I’m mixing formality levels again 😣
Gotta finish my Manakan calendar story: I finally have them both and they’re SO PRETTY!
I did end up booking a Spanish lesson with the K’iche’ teacher 🤭
Can’t get k’iche’ out of my mind now. Mayan languages sound so incredibly cool
There really is a different feel to it
Me: I’m switching my focus from Japanese to Spanish for practicality reasons as I live in Finland with a Spanish speaker
Also me:
I’m choosing a Spanish teacher among the Guatemalans on italki, and one also teaches Kʼicheʼ, a Mayan language. What if I just… language stack? 🤭

I have the same pen! I also use 0.38 though
I love analog note taking, especially when learning languages, and especially with languages that don’t use the Latin script. Makes everything stick better
Bluesky acting up all day, I can’t see anything now
Sí, pues no quiero cambiar esta cuenta totalmente. Escribo en inglés solo cuando realmente quiero decir algo, y no lo hago mucho. Escribiría mucho más en español
What if I make a Spanish language bluesky just for practice, post random nonsense, and people can correct me if they want
I suppose that’s high B2 - C1
All other languages I don’t care if they stay B1 forever
I really want to make my Spanish the same level as English and Russian: not perfect, and never comparable to my mother tongue, but also with no desire to switch to any other foreign language
Switching my language focus from Japanese to Spanish, for practicality reasons
Right now the languages I use most days:
40% English
40% Spanish
10% Finnish
0% Japanese
And my Spanish still sucks, I keep switching to English or use English words, because I don’t want to slow down the conversation
Why is Maria graduating so suddenly, if there’s no other reason than just to follow her dreams? I’m confused
This challenge was 30 minutes a day for 30 days, and I just finished the challenge. I did it even on days when I was too busy or tired, and now it's a habit already, so I'll keep going, just be more flexible! I love these city and nature walk videos from the youtube channel Speak Japanese Naturally
It’s now April and I still haven’t moved onto Mandarin 😂
You and me both 🤝
I’ve seen that kind of phrasing in Korean cosmetics. Like a cream contains rice, it says “I’m rice”
Everyone planning a trip to Stockholm: I want to visit ABBA museum and eat meatballs
Me planning a trip to Stockholm: I want to go to Uniclo and eat banana curry pizza
Later this year 🤭
I should revive my H!P acc
