interestingly, disturbingly, Harlan's lone dissent in Plessy took a shot at the Chinese.
A trans woman and organizer with Trans Queer Pueblo was arrested at a regular ICE check-in and held in a men’s only unit. The org says it’s retaliation.

In one particularly alarming incident, a construction company’s security guard called the Sheriff’s Dep and Border Patrol about 5 men looking for work. When deputies learned BP wouldn’t arrive for an hour, they took the men to Taco Bell, arranging with Border Patrol to pick the men up there.
Despite repeated pledges that the department does not enforce immigration violations, recent filings from lawsuit reveal Pima County Sheriff's deputies have picked up and turned over Spanish-speaking men w/out suspicion of any crime.
