@evanhill · 11m Fascinating work here tracing how the IDF recycled 3D assets from a cyberpunk sci-fi art project, the Scottish Maritime Museum and elsewhere to populate its widely-seen models of supposed enemy locations in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran. One of the most infamous, the alleged underground Hamas command center at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, used to justify an unprecedented assault on the biggest medical center in Gaza, was actually an animation the IDF had used the previous year, saying at the time it was a tunnel beneath a UN school.

Digital illustration in style of a vintage fantasy movie poster. The upper part of the illustration is dominated by my character Lubi, holding a sword in his right hand and a spell in his left. The sword is a painted-over photo from MET museum's public domain library. The sword is surrounded by a wild dark yellow glow. The spell in the left hand is a dull pink. Lubi's fire hair is orange. All three elements are flat in colour. Lubi's skin is green, and he is wearing some sort of golden helm-crown with a heart on the forehead. He's also wearing a wide golden collar piece encrusted with green gems. His body is covered in a black robe. He has a heart-shaped hole on his chest, and a stylized flat blue star inside. In the center of the image, on his mid-torso, is a night sky with scattered stars and a crescent moon. Along Lubi's left breast, the stars vaguely shape a top surgery scar. On the lower left side is another, rougher image of Lubi in a chanting kneeling position, his hands raised. The pose was referenced from one of Frank Brunner's Elric illustrations. This Lubi is mostly naked, just wearing a belted loin cloth, a helmet, and several golden bangles on his wrists. He has several scars on his thighs, as a reference to his frequent design element of having striped legs. His face is covered in shadow and his dark orange flame hair is wild. He has visible top surgery scars, and a heart-shaped hole on his chest. His skin is of a pale orange colour. On the bottom right side of the illustration is a castle on a mountain cliff. The castle was referenced from the painting 'The Battle' by Remedios Varo. I used my own photos to add texture to the mountainside. Along the bottom edge of the piece, there is a written phrase saying "VERY MUCH ALIVE".
