Trump is taking flak on Truth Social from Christians who follow him after he posted a Jesus-like AI image of himself.
Seems like the solution is the same for both llms and cars: fuel prices that include negative externalities. If the cost of electricity was accurately linked to whether or not it involved fossil fuels/climate destruction, then LLM subscription prices would rise for more verbose platforms. #carbontax
Vance wants Trump's presidential endorsement, and he also wants to be seen as a good Christian. To pursue the former is to forsake the latter, and Trump's attacks on the Pope will force Vance into an indefensible position if he goes on tour to promote his book about his Catholic faith. ///
This is because Vance is going to be forced to contort himself into pretzels in order to simultaneously defend his Catholic faith while answering questions about the president's attacks on the Pope.
And so now JD Vance's book tour is going to be a real time window into whether his own behavior aligns with his professed faith.
Any reasonable politician would avoid putting their #2 in this position. But Trump doesn't care -- and probably can't care -- about anyone but himself.
What does this mean for JD Vance? It means that the first question he's going to be asked at any press event regarding his book is how he feels about Trump's criticisms of the Pope.
