I see tonight even SBS news has succumbed to having ASPI talking heads on as so called neutral expert commentators. ASPI has received funding from various weapons manufacturers , the US govt, and the Japanese govt. ASPI is not independent , neutral , or in any way objective.

Great summary , thanks very much. I haven’t watched channel 7 for years, unfortunately it seems they are still peddling the same old trash.

And I should say kudos to @davidpocock.bsky.social , @ketanjoshi.co and even Cheaper Buy Miles , a bespoke grocer I remember banging on about this years ago

That’s been my experience too . The few times (3 or 4) I’ve used public chargers , there’s been a super friendly energy from other drivers .
Everyone sharing stories and info. One kind lady even paid for my charge when I couldn’t get the app to work. I’ve never, ever had these experiences in a servo

Barnaby gets more air time on the ABC than any other politician. Even more so since he went to Scum Nation

He sure seemed miserable. As someone else said , the 10 minutes he complained about downloading the app only has to be done once and never again . He’s judging EV’s on the worst possible circumstances. Anyone lucky enough to have off street parking would charge at home overnight , at about .28c/kw

How about all potential MP’s bank accounts, shareholdings, and investments are vetted before entering parliament?

Even with a cursory glance it’s obvious that the Chinese govt ownership is so far distant from direct control to be almost meaningless, and there are plenty of other Authoritarian govt interests in Aus. How about ‘Aus partners with authoritarian US govt to build submarines ‘ ?

What is the relevance of having China in the headline for this story? It’s a partly owned Italian firm as well. The ABC China bashing at every opportunity is just weird.

Angus saying the increase in defence spending is just creative accounting. If there’s anyone who know’s a lot about creative accounting it’s Mr Cayman’s himself.

A wave of low-cost electric trucks is heading for Australia Diesel trucks are the backbone of the national supply chain, but figures buried in recent sales data could mark the beginning of the end for these kings of the road.

A huge supporter of the mive to electric freight with good knowledge of the industry here. Nearly every word of this story is complete bullshit

Diesel replacement: Australia's billion-dollar opportunity to electrify, cut global fossil ties Arguably, just phasing out the diesel fuel rebate – and just in the mining sector – would give electrification a huge boost. But full electrification holds huge economic promise.
