I also plan on posting some more metasynth vids on here or yt. When i was researching this software I could barely find anything recent about it besides Benn Jordan's coverage, so I think it'd be helpful for people interested in this wacky tool

I've been loving this feature I found in metasynth. You can create an analysis of a sample and play it back in the image synth with a multisampler loaded with samples. Here I loaded some sounds from a prepared piano pack. It's like audio to midi but not midi and more strange lol. #synth #sounddesign

UAD has the worst copy protection anyways. I got their polysynth for free and and every time I open it in a session their stupid UAD background app comes up and I have to sign in or it just freezes my DAW lol.

This new(ish) @flstudio.bsky.social plugin is by far the most performative looper plugin i've used. lottss of fun. Triggering loops based on a peak detector is a very cool idea.

yeah true I can understand not liking the smugness of the modernist movement lol. Idk I've heard this most from people who only listen to more popular genres/artists. I guess there are generally more expectations for popular music. It's funny that "low effort" stuff gets people mad tho lol

Open question: Does the amount of "effort" someone puts into a song/track matter to you? I find it interesting that people hate pieces like John Cage's 4'33 simply because they believe it to be low effort and lazy. As long as the end product resonates with people I don't see how effort matters πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
