This week's trawl bycatch numbers are in. Draggers have bycaught a documented

1,557 more Chinook salmon and about 240,896 pounds more halibut in the last week.

Meanwhile, State-managed fisheries have been restricted or closed to Alaskans well before the salmon season starts.

Meanwhile, halibut are at or near record lows.
