There’s exegesis (and I am familiar) and there’s the meaning that was taken from the time of its inception to the present, much has not involved anything close to equality. Dhimmitude and having another faith dictate to us what makes us righteous enough to be dhimmis are both unacceptable.

Don’t plan on it. Just making the point that it’s ok for others to lie about us and our beliefs, but if we were to m quote the truth, it would have consequences.

I’ve been following this for a while. Not at all surprising if one has read the Qur’an. It is quite explicit about how to treat Hindus, Jews and Christians. It is not Islamophobic to point out exactly what Islam teaches.

I spent 5 years in the South when in grad school. The racism was impressive in the white community. I believe I was the only white person in my year that actually visited Black Atlanta. Escaped safely from the nice people I met there.

Most of them won’t be able to afford it. Homeowners won’t be able to sell and renters won’t be able to afford. In the case of MAGATS, I care not- they asked for whatever will happen.

It will always be there as long as the world’s 2 largest religions are supremacist and teach that the religion they appropriated is mistaken/evil. No amount of condemnation can overcome that core of bigotry.

It was the US, not Israel, and the videos prove this. How about you showing the moral backbone of checking your facts and admitting that your statement was based on bigotry, since you obviously didn’t bother to see whether it was correct.

But it isn’t because they are Muslim. It’s because they live where the fanatical settlers want to live and because there has been a continued refusal of Palestinians to accept any form of peace plan that doesn’t include destroying Israel and decades of attempts to accomplish that.

We don’t see non-Jews as enemies. We just know our history and what their religions teach about us and we’re careful. Don’t put your bigotry on us- we haven’t murdered millions of Christians and Muslims, but they’ve murdered millions of us. We just want y’all to let us be.
