I think all diplomatic options have to be exhausted first before a war can be deemed "just." That sure as hell didn't happen.

A poem called "Throbbing Planet": A meteor struck the Earth one night/The damage it caused was very slight/But it turned out to have strange effects/Made the whole world constantly crave sex/In the air was some alien aphrodisiac/Every person became a horny maniac/Soon humankind breathed its last breath/Having grossly orgied itself to death Under the poem is a picture of a man and a woman embracing, surrounded by stars

A poem called "Andy Wormhole": He was tired of art that was bland and trite/Wondered if work with spacetime he might/Andy molded the fabric of existence/Into shapes pleasing to the aesthetic sense/But he paid for his cosmic depravity/Because, you see, he didn't reckon on gravity/By tidal forces the man was torn apart/Thus did Andy suffer for his art Under the poem is a picture of space being warped into arcs and rings

A man and a woman standing somewhat in shadow surrounded by stars and veils of cosmic dust.

A man and a woman standing somewhat in shadow surrounded by stars and veils of cosmic dust.

ASCENT

Cosmic apes we humans are
Destined to travel very very far
Across light years, spanning the galaxy
Undaunted by the scope of infinity

To the stars we shall adapt
By extraterrestrial vistas enrapt
Our race will evolve into a new form
As high above us as we to the worm

A poem called "Shrieking Moon": One fateful day all transmission/Every radio, Internet, and television/Became a scream that was incessant/To say the least this was unpleasant/The moon was identified as the source/Which was inhabited by a living force/Driven mad by watching our idiocies/And so was shrieking on all frequencies Beneath the poem is a picture of a blood red moon in a cloudy blood red sky

A poster for the fake movie ESCAPE FROM EARTH, which would be the third movie about the character Snake Plissken, played by Kurt Russell, who is featured in the poster dressed in leather and holding a rifle, with the Earth blowing up behind him. The tagline reads: Time's Up.

A poem called WE ARE DENIED: For ten generations has my family/Flown the space ways of eternity/Pilots of starships all and one/But that glorious age now is done/Our hyperdrives no longer operate/Caused by some cruel twist of fate/Or perhaps the universe has concluded/From the stars we must be excluded Beneath the poem is a picture of the wreckage of a spaceship in a desert.

In my opinion, the only time STAR TREK ever used time travel effectively and intelligently was in the episode THE CITY ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER. "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" was good for a few laughs, but that's all. Time travel has become cliche and too often writers use it for no good reason.

A picture of a fearful girl bound in chains turning to behold her captor

GIRL IN OIL

Rodney moved into a new place
In a painting there beheld the face
Of a beautiful girl in chains bound
He fell in love with her he found

Long he wished her free of the frame
One day into the real world she came
But soon he regretted his hasty whim
With a blade the murderess did slay him
