Messy, old palette on the left. New, fresh color palette on the right. I often scrape my old palette and blend any paint left to create a nice brown, sometimes grey, pot of color to use for sketching on the canvas of the next piece.

That feeling when you retire the old palette and start with a fresh new one.

Yes, chaos will again ensue, but the tidiness of the new palette is still a joy for me.
