With how many nukes America lost during the Cold War, I firmly believe there's a family somewhere in Georgia that's been passing down a nuclear bomb from generation to generation as a family heirloom.

And the big velvety dark green on is philodendron micans in its juvenile domestic state. Yes I got my plants their own ring light. They're far from a window and they have absolutely adored it, though the macodes petola prefers to keep its distance.
The other plant in the terrarium is ficus pumila "quercifolia". The quercifolia means oak-leaved. It's a sturdy grower and will overrun the terrarium every six months or so. I give it a haircut and drop the clippings back in as a bit of free organic matter.
A pink wall. A glossy black statue of a robed woman is covered in velvety dark green leaves from a plant in a bronzer ceramic pot. In front of it is a gathering of three tiny cases and a bell-cloched terrarium with a sparkly green jewel orchid in it.
My favourite plant corner is flourishing. If you zoom in on the terrarium it's my prize-winning macodes petola jewel orchid. I entered one orchid show, took three ribbons, and never attended again. The macodes was getting leggy recently so I introduced its air roots to the soil and it seems happy.

lol I genuinely enjoy a superhero skyfight cgi mess, but this would have burnt me out of all my goodwill if Disney gutting marvel’s visual development team hadn’t already incinerated it

Wok with Yan, but I guess a lot of things would have to change
Also, sorry, have been waiting for it "to flower", not "to open". The flower hasn't been there for 2 years (has been hanging out for a few weeks), but I started this plant from a cutting 2 years ago. It had to root & grow before flowers could happen, and this is the first year it's done cool things

I've been waiting for this little bastard* to open for 2 years... I think tonight's the night??
*either Epiphyllum 'Stern Von Erlau' or Epiphyllum 'Showboat'... the Epi club labels these by writing on them with marker, lol, and the writing eventually wore off after repeated waterings
A picture of an embroidered pterosaur, it's not of a specific species. I made this little guy when I was learning more modern dino anatomy, the front legs off (the joints are supposed to be backwards), making the little guy standing more like a dog than a real ptero whoops
I retook a picture of one of my old works.
Here's a pterosaur, it has some anatomical mistakes, but I still like it

I think I don't see west-coast skeets as much as I see east-coast skeets
I know it's probably that I'm awake/online when others on the east-coast are, but I have this suspicion that when Bluesky servers are under load, they'll drop replication of some skeets from the other coast to manage capacity
this happened to a friend of mine yesterday
So good/bad!
The latest episode of Elsbeth has the most fucking pitch-perfect horrific man-novel writing.

My quick & dirty answer is a campsite locator called Vorhees.
But I might circle back with a better answer later.

Like dear sir or madam your nest is primarily sideways??

We're hoping that whoever built this has realized it was a terrible choice and abandoned it
Don’t just let it be terrible, LEAN INTO it being terrible, because no one’s going to see it.
I only bring this up because someone mentioned just this week that this trick is useful, but I *still* 30 years in, when stumped, write this on the top of the page.
Sorry, you’re telling me that something that doesn’t feel pain, doesn’t have lactic acid build up, doesn’t need adequate hydration or electrolytes, doesn’t need to pee, and doesn’t get tired is only 6 minutes faster than humans?
you’ve fucked up a perfectly good Roomba.
It's fine :)
