We were also very lucky with the aurora while we were in the far north, and I finally got to use my DSLR to get a few shots. In one of these you can see the Abisko research station, in my opinion one of the most wonderful and inspiring places to be doing science on the natural world.
Also a big thank you to colleagues at Queens University Belfast who provided lots of pre-trip planning advice/discussions, and especially @graemeswindles.bsky.social and Richard Fewster for their input in the field on all things palsa! 2/2
