I was reading a poorly copyedited book this morning and randomly though to ask what coping mechanisms you use to live in our “between him and I” world, @bcdreyer.social

Look, it’s no secret I’m a Springsteen fan. But this No Kings Tour is something else—it wasn’t in the plans, but they made it happen because this moment requires all of us to step to the plate with what we’ve got.

I don’t think everyone understands that it felt like being occupied by an outside army.

Because it was like that.

Allyship is a crucial tool for white people to be able to use appropriately and well. But it isn’t the goal—the goal is to reclaim our full ability to think about race and to reclaim the humanity that our racial conditioning tries to steal.
