Update on Bing: The block seems to have been removed! Sites are slowly starting to re-index. Special thanks to @ashleybelanger.bsky.social for this really helpful article and visibility.
We now have a direct contact at Microsoft we're communicating with to see how this can be prevented again.

Bing has blocked neocities and all user subdomains from its search index.
Weβve spent months trying to resolve this through official channels and gotten nowhere.
Until this gets resolved, we are recommending that people do not use Bing.

How do you center a div?
Wrong answers only
Stickers on an electrical box At the top are two nametags for ANONZEDS and ZINER!. Below it is a fragment sticker featuring a rabbit surrounded by floating computer icons and a red patterned background, saying "have you SEEN what neocities does to someone? they'll be like "idk how to make a webpage" and then two weeks lager they're asking hoi about complex jacascript that should never have been invented".

She said thanks it's already saved her life (holding the servers up with duct tape, in retrospect not a great idea)
Not shut down, just switched to HTTP based verification using a file on your site instead of the DNS system. We had to deprecate the old DNS system unfortunately. Sent out emails but apparently not everyone got them, apologies.
You may have not got the email, we had to deprecate the DNS version of the verifier. The HTTP based one works now so you can use the .well-known/ file and upload the verification from bluesky directly on your web site. Sorry about the issues here.

HTML Day 2025 is this Saturday! If the idea of coding HTML in nature with fun and creative people appeals to you, see if there's a local event happening near you (or create one!)
No problem, sorry about the delay and issues. The old purger worked beautifully for 100k sites but was starting to strain at 1 million sites. It was also a "fire and forget" design, the new one is stream based with a message queue, so it's more accountable and is less likely to miss purge jobs.
Also wanted to dispel a rumor: it was never an issue with DNS or how busy a site is, it was always the purger. The purger doesn't use DNS.
If for some reason a purge doesn't happen, try changing the file slightly (add a space, etc.) and saving it. But this tempfix shouldn't be necessary anymore. π€
Today we launched a more robust cache purger that should reduce the number of rare/occasional "missed" site updates. It's been well tested, but when things change bugs can happen, so if a site file isn't updating let us know, and the usual apologies in advance for any issues related to this.
On Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, we'll be gathering in places around the world to write and celebrate HTML. Join us βοΈ

Update: Should be working now.
FYI, WebDAV is currently not working, a fix is in progress.
When we migrated to new code the old WebDAV code became deprecated, and it's kind of a crazy protocol so it's taking longer than expected. Apologies.
