*sigh*
If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it.
If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it.
If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you.
I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.

This was the last trailer we made together at Studio Grackle. It never felt right to say it before the release, but I closed the studio a year ago.
Thank you to @supergiantgames.bsky.social for always supporting us, and being the best creative partner I could’ve ever asked for.

I will always try to share info on where and how I make what I do when people ask.
Anyway, disappears again.
The most common excuse is the fear that other artists will copy you. As if your specific display set up or your specific manufacturer is the reason your art is selling. Not the Art Itself. Nah We all have the same Inspo slop, don't pretend you're unique.
I know when you get a lot of questions about resources it becomes tough to continue responding. And no one is required to be a coach on producing art. But out right deciding to not share information because you think you are above that seems like you are insecure about your art standing on its own.
The standard for getting into events is so insanely high compared to the days when you could show up with your prints flat on the table. The cost for entry to even get a table is now astronomical.
Why do we have to make it harder for each other?
Nah. This is my pet peeve. I've been doing Artist Alley for nearly 15 years. Just cause it was hard for me at the start doesn't mean it needs to be hard for others to start making and selling art.
There are so many more challenges that young and new artists now face even getting into markets!
Okay vague posting a reel lol -
It irks me when some artists come out and say they don't want to share their resources, cause "they worked hard for this info."

escapism through channeling a medieval manuscript illustrator
Photograph of a hand holding a sticker. The sticker is an illustration of the Swedish traditional Gävle Geten (Gävle Goat) on fire.
as we all know: the goat must burn and may his flames light your way into the new year
Predictably there are a small number of people already going "whuuuh I'm not fascist just bc I hate some taboo art!" Exactly what I said, read it again. Are you reporting artists? Are you making callout posts? Hating a type of art does not make you fascist, but suppressing its right to exist does
"But I hate ICE and support trans rights and etc etc" if you aid in the suppression of art, you are a fascist. One of the textbook markers of a fascist state is the suppression of art it deems "degenerate". If you have one empathetic cell left in your brain, you'll start digging into the history
If you're doing callout posts about artists creating fictional taboo content, you may not consider yourself a fascist, but you are one. You are their stupid tool at the bare minimum. The good news is you can stop doing that at any time
Wanted to draw an alien Miku!!
Commissioned art for @genue of his and his partner's characters from the comic Roomie 4 Rent. The three characters are cozied up together to review Sal's camera footage. Pecan lies his back against Sal's lap while holding the camera, Joenie props himself on Pecan's chest to lean in too. With an arm around Joenie Sal points at the camera while he's talks, soft smile on his face while he's in his element. Pecan steals a look up at Sal with a quiet wistful expression. Joenie catches on and smiles knowingly.
Commission for @genue.bsky.social Thanks again!
