The media blackout of Jared Kushner’s historic, ongoing corruption scandal As Trump's son-in-law returns to Pakistan for more talks with Iran, major news outlets are largely ignoring an egregious conflict of interest.

Jared Kushner did not pass the permanent background check, his Top Secret clearance was downgraded to Secret. Trump intervened to grant it, he has not completed the standard security clearance procedure.

This administration is a bunch of Clowns on a crime spree.

A little background, Cecile is the Country Chair, and the EVP of Integrated Gas Australia, who runs Shell’s entire Australian energy business and controls its biggest gas empire, while also acting as Shell’s main political and strategic voice in the country. But she doesn’t know shit I guess.

There is a certain irony in a CEO claiming "data blindness" while her company uses some of the most sophisticated data modeling on the planet to find gas a mile under the ocean floor. 🥴

Ed Husic calls out Japan’s hypocrisy of resisting gas export taxes while pocketing $40B in energy import taxes.
“They import it, collect tax revenue, & make money reselling gas they’re not using themselves.”💥
Australia’s resources, Japan’s revenue.
This has to change. #auspol

Energy giants spending millions of dollars on advertising blitz to fight gas export tax, inquiry told Shell Australia says campaign needed to ‘counter-balance’ claims by levy advocates – but Ed Husic urges industry ‘do not spend millions defending the indefensible’ The gas giants are mounting a multi-million dollar advertising campaign to fight against a new export tax, prompting Labor MP Ed Husic to accuse the industry of “defending the indefensible”. Shell Australia is among half-a-dozen oil and gas companies contributing around $1m to an Australian Energy Producers (AEP) campaign that attempts to justify the amount of tax the industry pays, a parliamentary inquiry heard on Wednesday. Exclusive: University of Queensland scraps Indigenous children’s book, citing controversial anti-Semitism policy The University of Queensland has decided to pulp all 5,000 copies of a children’s picture book written by an Indigenous poet, after media queries from News Corp’s _The Australian_ newspaper that levelled accusations of anti-Semitism against the book’s illustrator. It’s a decision that also marks the first time a controversial definition of anti-Semitism, adopted by Australia’s universities last year, has been cited as the basis of a book cancellation. _Bila, a river cycle_ , was written by award-winning Wiradjuri poet Jazz Money and illustrated by Matt Chun. It’s an environmentally-focused book that tells the story of a river’s journey from mountain to sea and the people who pollute the waterways. Money and Chun began work on the book in 2022 and it was due for release this year. Jazz Money, the author of __Bila, a river cycle.__ In January this year, Dymocks announced that it was removing all of Chun’s books from its stores after he wrote an article titled “We don’t mourn fascists” in the aftermath of the Bondi terror attack. After the Dymocks announcement, _The Australian_ approached University of Queensland Press (UQP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Queensland, to ask about _Bila._ The chair of UQP, Professor Heather Zwicker, told the newspaper that the publisher had, “put the proposed publication on hold pending the outcome of an internal review and external legal processes underway,” effectively suspending its publication. ### This post is for subscribers only Become a member to get access to all content Subscribe now

The book's author has described the decision to pulp all 5,000 copies of the book as reckless and disrespectful, and says it "sets a chilling standard".
