I’ve seen family videos of my dad where he was the biggest teddy bear towards every kid he came in contact with, long before I even existed. He loved baby talk and making faces at babies. I have make friends who don’t want kids of their own but who find kids adorable.

There are the absolute lunatics who bought everything Donald Trump was selling, and will continue to defend him even when he turns on them. And then there are people like Tucker Carlson, who are playing the long grift game that shifts as public opinion does. Fuck ‘em. All of ‘em.

Two business trips to San Fran have changed my travel priorities. Lol

Though, 4 hours in an airport lounge made the wait a little more bearable. But I still hate it.

After having a 10pm flight, where I had to check out of the Air BnB at 11am, and then go sit in the airport unable to go through security and check my bags until 4 hours before a flight, I hate arriving at my gate a single minute earlier than when boarding starts. 😂

I’ve missed one flight and I still try not to get to airport any earlier than I have to be. 😅😂

So, while I’m having a sad day today, I have made it a habit of deferring my birthday celebration to a less depressing month. But since time still passes, and I will still age this week, instead of wishing me happy birthday, go tell your loved ones that you appreciate and love them instead. 6/7

Despite all of that, my life is currently actually pretty amazing. I work with amazing people. We’re getting a new house. I have hilariously amazing furballs that keep me entertained, and @wqsaves.bsky.social is the most supported, and sweet person I’ve ever known, and the love of my life. 5/7

And the fact that I was born while one of the most horrific manmade disasters to ever occur in our world was happening, (Chernobyl), really has cemented the fact that my birthday is a cursed day. 4/7

I am so lucky to have a partner and friends who understand, that having friends, and grandparents and pets and cousins and uncles pass close to my birthday has created a well of sadness that I can no longer try to celebrate “through”. 3/7
