No idea! They changed the curriculum since I taught it. Gotta think their website would have something though?

On the heels of the Allbirds news, I'd like to announce that I too am going to be selling AI compute infrastructure, instead of doing my job as a math teacher. I hope you'd considering buying stock in my company, now called NewDan AI.

Your days of grading paper is over! Now you get to mark them!
Also enjoy the slightly less confusing set notation.
I think some stuff has changed since I last taught it, but there’s a nice progression to the problem sets sometimes.
Precalc! That’s most of it. I liked it.
A 3D print showing a local maximum that is not a global maximum
A 3D print showing a local minimum that is not a global minimum
New 3D prints: There's a theorem in single variable calculus called "The only critical point in town":
If a continuous function f: ℝ→ℝ has only one critical point and it is a local max/min, then it is a global max/min.
This isn't true for functions of two variables. These prints illustrate a local
!!! Awesome!
Heading out to NYC for an event for MoMath in their brand new space! I'll be guiding people though some fun geometry at @momath.bsky.social 's Family Friday event. bookzoompa.wordpress.com/2026/04/09/a...

Bonus game for today. Can you spot the parabola? Conic sections run from an eccentricity of 0 (circle), to 0<eccentricity<1 (ellipse), to eccentricity = 1 (parabola), eccentricity > 1 (hyperbola). Make a mark on the one line on this sketch that's a parabola!

It’s actually correct this time, but the last one got tooted out with the wrong number. Still working on the auto toot settings so I won’t make the mistakes that I would by tooting by hand!
Yea it's a "secret" thing that was put in for textbook manufacturers I think. I don't think I'm at liberty to share, but would bet the reddit r/desmos witches and wizards already know :-)
Love the use of polar!

although, question 4 is sus in the 2025 exam, like they all have graphing calculators (and some kids in the state even have desmos). Kids, graph it and match your picture to their picture. No knowledge needed.
